An1m
1) Has anyone ever come across a great hookah tobacco that is either fennel flavored or possesses a good, stronf, fennel flavor in it?2) Has anyone had experience with the MNH glass screens for the Tangier's Phunnels? I was thinking about picking up a couple for my phunnels but I don't know if it works as well as the glass screen + glass bowl. Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks. Thanks.I'm thinking that I'm going to just go with AF Ark Sous, I hear it's a good licorice flavor and anise has a similar flavor to fennel. Arcane
i believe chinamon said AF double apple was big time anise flavored. i'd give that a shot.Nakhla double apple has a slight anise flavor if you're looking for something like that as well. clumsygrace
The screens are finicky. Hard to work with. I prefer foil to the glass screens for our phunnel.
jhanzair
Fennel has a really strong smell and flavor. I'm guessing that bashing some fennel and mixing it with an unflavored shisha (lika Nakhla Zaghloul) would result in a pretty decent fennel flavored shisha

mitchard
I have used my glass screen with both a small and medium tangiers bowl. Works great on both, though it is made for the medium and fits it better. It hangs over the sides quite a bit on the small, but still does the job perfectly. Sylren
AF White grape is very fennely in a good way, but I've heard it can vary from batch to batch.

I really just wanted one person to sey that it worked well because I REALLY want to pick up a couple so thanks. I figured it shouldn't be a huge difference from the glass on glass which people ave about. I'd actually think it would work better since Tangier's Phunnels are all pretty standardized with much less variation from bowl to bowl, than glass funnels seem to have.QUOTE (Sylren @ Mar 2 2009, 12:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>AF White grape is very fennely in a good way, but I've heard it can vary from batch to batch.Awesome, I'm picking up some AF in my next order so I will get some! I really appreciate these responses. My local hookah bar has a guava flavor that tastes like pure fennel when the bowl is starting for some reason. My girlfriend hates it but I LOVE it and I can't get enough. I miss it when the bowl actually starts to taste like just guava. I suppose I could have just asked them what brand they use but I'm pretty sure it's home-made.
modisess
af golden bahraini apple would be a good choice as well. tastes similar to nakhla double apple, but with thunderclouds included!
Capt. Morgan
Not familiar with fennel but I can attest to the fact that AF double apple tastes pretty much like pure licorice.

Whenever were smoking a flavour that's not supposed to taste like licorice but does anyway, everyone is like "eeewwww it tastes like licorice!" But I'm always thrilled!
