they ripped my hoodie and you can see drag marks on my boots. the one of my hip hasnt come in yet and my face is out of focus but you get the idea. btw they called me a fag and a homo which i thought was funny too bad im not gay otherwise theyd have a nice hate crime suite

Maybe the drinking holiday was MADE for the cops quotas...conspiracy anyone?

I'm sorry that you got beat up, you were walking for goodness sake, and there are tons of cop shirts that people wear that are lots worse than yours is.

What brought the cops attention to you in the first place? What did your dad or your friends do?

they probably saw them and took a turn and i walked into them. they got me with public intoxication. but they took me to the hospital for "vomit with blood content" "fever of over 102.5f" "abdominal pain" "trouble breathing" "urge to hurt self and others" im pretty sure it was justified from getting cuffed and thrown to the ground. My 2 friends and my dad were calling me on my cell but they couldnt find me.

side note i wasnt drinking on the holiday, i went to beerfest from 3-8pm for 15 beer samples for my friends birthday, then to a friends house to get 2 other people and do 2 shots before going to the bar with them, in the middle of that my dad called and i took him to the bar with his friend Edited by GNUWorldOrder

Oh yes folks, police state Amerika has arrived! Sucks to hear about that man, were you resisting at all or did they just want to get you for the shirt? Gotta love our right to free expression, as long as the expression is PC that is. You could have a suit for abuse no? The fact they were calling you names (unprofessional) is really no surprise to me, but it's just a shame if there are no witnesses or anything were there?

while i agree its screwed up, id never wear that shirt. attracting attention to yourself on a "drunk holiday" seems like a bad idea to me. (we don't have drinking holidays, so i have no idea what that is even, but im assuming people drunk everywhere with cops around)

BTW you don't have to be gay to file a hate crime suit. If a cop attacks me and calls me a spic, because I happen to be in a Dominican neighborhood or something, I can file a hate crime suit. They're crimes of intent! You intend to kick a gay person's ass but it just so turns out they were straight, but you called them "queer" or "fag" etc... that's still a hate crime.

First I find nothing wrong with the shirt or being drunk and I hate when people in authority abuse their power, in fact almost nothing makes me more angry than injustice, especially from those who vow to serve and protect. However, if you were too drunk to even remember what happened lucidly maybe it wasn't such a good idea to walk around with your senses muddled in said shirt in plain view of cops who are essentially there to harass and round up the drunks. Just makes you a stumbling target amongst the other stumbling people. Not that you have any fault in the matter, because you don't.

Sorry this happened to you dude. You should pursue legal action.

That's pretty messed up man, sorry to hear that. If the whole mess stems from a shirt that's ridiculous.
We have a "drunk holiday" here the weekend before Halloween called Tequila Sunrise. Everyone gets up at 5 or so, goes to breakfast and bars open at 6. Lots of bands, drinking and loud college kids. Everyone makes shirts for this event, and this past year my shirt said "Get F**ked", but not edited. I don't know if police just expected it to be crazy and were just there to keep things safe instead of being assholes, but the only run-ins i had were from a few cops wanting to take pics of my shirt.
