mitchard
I have been a huge Against Me! fan since Reinventing came out (7 years already? Damn). Tom's solo project is amazing. It's like a new slice of their older stuff. For any fans of Against Me! who haven't gotten into this, or even anybody who isn't too familiar with them, check this out. http://www.myspace.com/tomgabelmusicHe did live videos for each of the songs on his ep. Not the same versions of the recorded versions dubbed over the video, but real audio going along with the video."Anna Is A Stool Pigeon"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zKE-LfdM5E"Harsh Realms"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIPp3vAVaFc"100 Years of War"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4F1PJPiS2M"Conceptual Paths"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPd7JZBIIRs"Cowards Sing at Night"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ff-kWM7rIA"Random Hearts"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83blMEI9U3M"Amputations"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzF39EiBY2Q
An1m
I love Tom Gabel, I Love Against me, the first song I'm learning how to play on guitar currently is Sink Flordia Sink. I got Heart Burns when it first came out and my only criticism of it is that it sounds much better live, which ain't so bad. The electronic drum loops take away from the songs at time I feel. He might have just been better off without them.
