ih303
So last Monday I received my latest order from John (Hooray!) which included a sharp looking, white on black Razan hose. I had done my research and decided the Razan was the way to go since 1) they are supposedly better quality than the Namor's, and 2) John doesn't sell Grand's.The first thing I did when I got it was rinse it out with plain tap water to help get the plastic taste from it. Then, once it had dried, I began smoking.I was in heaven! The pull on the Razan was so smooth and effortless. Way better than my stock MYA hose the Razan had come to replace. It was proving to be a worthwhile investment. So last night, while I was finishing off a bowl of Romman Sweet Melon, I noticed the mouthpiece felt a little loose. Since the mouthpiece is removable, I attempted to remove it in order to re-insert, reestablishing a tight fit. When it pulled out, I realized it had company - the plastic piece in which the mouthpiece fits into had come unglued and was still attached to the base of the mouthpiece. This is disturbing. Certainly it is not unreasonable to expect a $20+ hose to last longer than a single week. Perhaps this was a defect specific to my particular hose and replacing it with another Razan would do the trick. I sent John an email so we'll see what happens.Has anyone else had this problem recently? I know there have been quality issues in the past, but based on user opinions on the forum, it seemed like they had been resolved. Maybe not? ryno
We've had 2 or 3 at our apartment.... First week, the mouthpiece goes, after that, its usually the hose that falls out of the handle... I'll stick with my KM hoses

That or hot glue! Those both work. Just remember when washing out the hose not to use hot water, because that can weaken the glue
Hobbs
I stick with my Grand Caravan hoses and they treat me well. Sorry to hear your luck bro.
Bye bye now have fun
ive had my nammor since the end of october and its still in 1 piece, needless to say they sent me a small instead of a normal but its still together
Zinite
I have 3 Nammors and in 1 of them the rubber piece came out immediately as well. I just wrapped it in electrical tape and stuck it back in. No biggie.
MrMoodz
I still have my original Razan hoses that I purchased from Nazar hookah's 2008 St. Patty's Day sale... a black with white handle and a green with white handle. The green one has not been used yet (will be my backup) and the black one is holding up fine. My mouthpiece came out last fall, but electrical tape handled that problem. I haven't had luck with KM hoses so for now, I'm sticking with my Razans.

jeremyk
I don't understand how you guys destroy hoses so fast I've had a km hose for over a year and it still smokes like the day I got it and I have a buddy who's had a razan hose for about the same time and its just fine no problems
SilentBob
I've had a Razan for 2 months now and have had no problems. I take care of it and it's been great to me.
Arcane
my razan hose is starting to fall apart already. the little puff ball things are coming loose and that grommet inside the hose came off a couple of days ago.but, granted...i don't try my hose all that great, so i'm not too concerned. It's not like I'm using my hose to fight terrorism. I just use it just like every one else - to smoke out of. This is clearly just an issue with quality since so many other people have the exact same problem. I should have listened to Hobbs when he advised me to get a Grand Caravan. It's too bad John doesn't sell those. Oh well... Live and learn, eh?
Capt. Morgan
My Nammor has definitlely seen better days. Had it for about a year now though. Still smokes but I did have to glue it back together.
ilikemyusername
i've had my razan for a while now, i'd say at least 8 months and i ran into one problem a while back, the handle separated from the hose wich caused the fabric to unravel. superglue fixed it right up. I'd also like to say i think it was my fault for running hot water through it, wich superglue is impervious to.

Scoop
i hate this passive aggression. "how do you people break your hoses? mine is perfect, what are you doing with yours!!!!"my nammor v1 is still fine. ive had 2 razans that ive glued together. if you saw how i treat these hoses youd think i was crazy. they are like my children...and they still fell apart. I don't whip people with them, or throw them against walls. I don't submerge them or ever use warm water. Its a construction flaw, be happy yours hasn't fallen apart, and stop giving people who have had it happen to them a hard time please

Nazar, Nazer or Nazor? Haha. I want to buy a washable with my next order. I am thinking about going with the grand. I like the look of the Razan/Nammor hoses more, but quality is more important of an issue right now.

I just want to pick up a washable to see how they stand up. The only time I get to use one of the washables is when i'm over smoking with Silentbob. I want to try using it over a longer period of time and see what I can notice about the differences. The Ultimate seems to have better flow.
