How Would You Compare..........

Hookah Johns quicklights to the natural ones to golden canary jap coals to exotica to coco nara?

I have used goldens for many many years, and I wanted to stock up on emergency coals that would be different. If I consider canary's square jap the best of the best. What do you think would be second?

i currently use both of hookahjohn's instant light and natural coals. i find them to be very similar. the only noticable difference would be one is a lot more convenient because you dont need a stove to start it.

I have used Exoticas forever and finally bought some of johns coals...... my only complaint about johns coals is that they smell (surprise, surprise) like burning coconuts when you first light them, which isn't really a complaint just i was used to exoticas that don't smell at all when you light them. John's or exoticas are both solid buys though

the only thing i haven't used there would be the exoticas. i really don't like any jap coals because to me, they do not last nearly long enough. personally from john's coals, i do prefer the naturals, the ql's do ash very funkily, you have to scrape the ash off with tongs or something because it has a habit of STICKING to the coal. out of all the ones i tried though, i presonally prefer the coco naras, because i think they last longer than johns coals, burn a little better, and they ash much more easily (if you just pick them up with the tongs and drop them in the tray you're good to go for ashing them - as long as you aren't dropping them in a pile of ash, le duh); however, that being said, john's coals are a much better bang for your buck.

exoticas and johns coals are great but i perfer exotica, try exotica easylights same type of coal as golden canary but you dont have to break them up. you can get 5 boxes for $40 at hookah-shisha.

My order will be coconaras, john's nats, exoticas, fumari jap coals, john's quicklights nats, diamonte quicklighs, and easylight jap coals. I prefer coconaras because they last longer and ash better as well as completely oderless since I smoke inside the house. However john's nats comes really close except that it does smell a little, to me its not completely oderless but its better bang for the buck! As for exoticas, its tasteless when smoking which is great like cocos and johns nats but it ashes really quick doesnt last as long and smells when lighting. Fumari Jap coals are pretty cool because they light easy and is farely oderless and easy to position and setup due to its small flat square pieces. Johns quicklights are so freaking easy to light except it smells. and the rest is just backup.

Exoticas wipe out a lot of the coconut coal varieties for me. Coconaras are too expensive. John's Coals smell like a tire fire when lighting and gag me if I light them in the garage. HC coals put out too much heat for most of what I smoke, but are great on the other 2 points, smell and bang for your buck. Golden Canaries are the same problem as coconaras, too expensive for so little product, but a great product if you dont care about price. Exoticas take it for me, have always taken it for me, and will likely take it for me until I cant get them anymore. Cheap, odor free, customizable sizing, perfect heat. You really cant get better than that.
