xXxAdrenalinexX8
The pipe on the bottom of the hookah that goes into the bowl with water is my problem. I lost the pipe. I was wondering if i could use something else like vinyl tubing or something of equal size to take the place of the metal pipe that goes into the water. plz help! Zinite
What kind of hookah is it? If it's a Mya you can just order a replacement.

K1024
yeah i piece of some sort of tubing would work. honestly i would get a piece of pvc and glue it in there. assuming that part of the hookah does not get very hot youll be ok.

An1m
just go to any el cheapo / overpriced smoke shop and get a new stem. They'll usually haggle and sell anything. If that fails contact a website that sells el-cheapo chinese hookahs and buy a stem piece. Someone should have one.
MechAnt
DO NOT USE PVC. Inhaling anything through it is highly toxic. Don't do it.Make your own with a piece of stainless steel or upgrade to a new, better pipe.

indian_villager
Take it and walk around the plumbing section of Home Depot and see what you come up with. Or you can invest 20-30 dollars on a solid mya pipe and be so much better off.
AKammenzind
QUOTE (xXxAdrenalinexX8 @ Mar 4 2009, 08:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I was wondering if i could use something else like vinyl tubing or something of equal size to take the place of the metal pipe that goes into the water. plz help!Well, I'd think the first thing that should have come to mind would be a metal pipe. Go to your local hardware store in the plumbing section and find a suitable size of piping, get a short length cut off, bring it home and depending on your hookah just solder/glue/caulk it on there. Just make sure you use a heat-resistant glue/caulk if that's the case, and you'll be fine. But yes, for that part you shouldn't use anything plastic because the smoke passing through is still pretty hot at that point, and might potentially cause it to give off toxins. Most metals will be ok, just use your brain and don't get black iron/galvy pipe or something.
MechAnt
Nammor and Razan hoses do not use PVC piping. PVC is characterized by its durable yet brittle nature. As for health, lets just say that California is working on a ban of PVC from consumer products.
