srawas89
Anybody and everybody go to Dearborn, MI when ever you can.....I love that city. The hookah bars there are most probably the best you will ever go to in your entire life. I just got back and I really wanted to stay another night but couldn't. Hookah bars you really need to check out: Arabica Cafe (its on the corner of warren and chase I think). I smoked some starbuzz and although I dont really like starbuzz the argeleh was so smooth and wonderful and the service was really nice. I visited the cafe during the day and at night the first day I got there. At night I tried their grape/lemon/mint mix. The tobacco was AF and it was out of a mya a believe and I almost wet myself . Another place I went to is a cafe called Lava Java. It is on greenfield road next to Midnight express which you should also visit but they are currently closed due to renovations. Lava Java also had amazing argeleh. I think I was smoking out of a mya as well and I was smoking AF I beleive (the server didnt know). I was smoking their lava mix which was really good and it was being smoked out of an orange it was fun. Both places the argeleh was so unbelieveably smooth. Now on the the hookah stores. I searced endlessly for some nice hookahs and found about 3-4 stores on Warren Ave. The first hookah store is Royal smokers which is located in a small complex between the New Yasmeen Bakery and Shatila (go visit those places they have excellent food). I used to go to but they jacked up their prices and its not worth going unless you are planning on taking advandage of their buy one get one free deals. The second store I went to was Hookah town (I forget where it is on Warren Ave). Anyway their hookahs are quite beautiful and are reasonably priced. I spotted a few Myas like the QT and similar small mya modelsa nd they were about the same price as you get online (about $45). The owner is nice and its a pretty good place for hookahs. Another Hookah store I went to is Al-Amir which was such a nice store. I finally found some Nakhla Mizo there for $7 dollars. I bought the peach. I already have enough grape tobacco as it is lol. Anyway they also had some KM's for sale for about $75 and some AF hookahs for like $125 I think. I didnt buy anything there expcept for the tobacco. Now on to awesome resturaunts on Warren Ave. Anybody who loves Arab food should try Al-Ajami on the corner of Warren and Chase (it is on the same side of Warren Ave. but across the street of Chase)Another good resturaunt is Al-Ameer. It is also on Warren Ave. However I dont have more accurate location. BOth resturaunts are amazing. I have stated above there are 2 places anybody should go to if they want breakfast and/or sweets. For breakfast go to New Yasmeen Bakery which is next to Royal Smokers. For arab sweets and some of the best pistachio flavored ice cream go to Shatila which is also next to Royal smokers. Well thats all I have to say in regards to Dearborn, MI. I realize that this is an insanely long post but I promise you if you go to these places you will not be dissapointed. There are a couple places I was told about that are supposed to be amazing places to go to but I forgot what they were called and where they were. In any case simply ask around especially at the hookah stores for good places to eat and for good cafes to go to.There you have it folks. just wanted to share. MrMoodz
I've heard good things about Dearborn, MI. I know there is a large middle eastern population there. I love the food and the culture!
tinyj316
Dearborn is a very fun city, and is in close proximity to DTW (Detroit Wayne Metropolitan Airport), the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village, the Detroit Zoo, Detroit (too much stuff to list individually), and Windsor (in Canada, so bring a passport/passport card)...Most people look at Detroit as just part of the "Murder Mitten", but its really one badass city. (minus the whole urban blight part)
