to get the smoking ban/excessive taxation on Hookah tobacco lifted in Great Britain and get Tangiers imported to Great Britain. They also have a novel heating device for replacing charcoal. Quite interesting.

This!

If that follows through nicely I'd be content. Not many brands to choose from here unfortunately and no one i've spoken too knows anything about Tangiers. Me and friend ordered 1kg of OG Tangiers so will be trying it for the first time- should be good.

Good update man, always nice to know whats going on behind the scences. That new tobacco tax is a load though....pfff

Woo! Nice update, Sonthert!

Looking forward to the new shipment on the 13th of March but I'm looking forward to the possibility of nice new syrians after that.

Tangiers Hookah...*Feints*

The new flavors look really nice and I have just started breaking my bad-luck streak with Tangiers so I can start buying and enjoying this stuff again. smile.gif Green tea with Honey sounds good.

I have one of those Snake Charmer hoses, I was expecting better quality based on the price but it's beautiful and for that reason, alone, I'm happy. haha

I might need to look into those new AF hookahs, some of them are really nice looking and it will be great to see real high quality pipes to look at.

Good update. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. smile.gif

Lots of good info Eric! Thanks for the update!

Also, its good to hear that the super chiefs might be making a comeback, as mine broke about 4 months ago and I haven't been able to find them at a decent price. I'm going to have to make a pilgrimage to San Diego from the central Oregon coast.

I'm excited for some of the flavors that are still in "beta". Keep up the good work, and if you need anyone to help test anything, I'm willing to make the sacrifice wink.gif

The tobacco increase is happening as we speak. For shisha it is probably just the tax, but for cigarettes and such philip morris, RJ reynolds, newport, and all other big names are raising prices to "share" the burden of the tax increase. Go to sams club and look at the tobacco department, or whats left of it at least. ( price increase possibly only affecting cali smokers, but not sure). As for me im stockpiling this week on tobacco. anybody know if shisha flavor will last if i get a years worth?

oh and thanks for all the updates!

I really have nothing to say publicly about this ignorant witch hunt. I have a number of things I'd like to say, several of them involving profanities, most of them rife with overly conservative or liberal comments about liberty and Police States. But, I will refrain.

Nothing to say hmm? haha, jk. I totally agree. Great update and though I've never been a blogger or blog reader/writer whatever, if they were like this update, I'd change my personally policy on it.

I've had nasty, bone dry Nakhla that smoked just fine. Any good Maasaal, sealed in airtight containers should last longer methinks.

Would tobacco produced by the US targeted on export be taxed according US laws or those it is being exported to?

The importing country imposes the tax.

But honestly, the only tobacco product worth exporting from this nation is Tangiers. Everything else has a better counterpart overseas (cigars, smokeless tobacco, pipe tobacco, shisha...)

Eric whats your take on MZ's I am thinking about picking one up. I have an older KM that I picked up last summer.. I want a cheap priced hookah that still smokes really well. Syrian is sorta out of the price range.

What i have found is that MZ's are no different than Generic Egyptian Hookahs. Smaller gauge, same metal construction, but you can get an Egyptian of equal build for 20 bucks cheaper than you pay for an MZ, of course not including Hookah-Shisha Central rigs (yuck).

The best thing you can do now, in regards to purchasing a new rig, is go for the AF Syrians. There is not a better SYrian on the US market available to consumers at this point in time.

Wow, thanks for the info. Have to admit that I am a Tangiers noob, just had my first bowl this weekend (Necatrine)... but I am also the proud owner of an official Tangiers Phunnel (ok, and a cheaper Chinese knock-off, that is still pretty good.. but I would never have bought it at all, if I had figured out I could underpack it and still have it work like a charm!). Your stuff rocks my world!

That's what I'm getting at. I'm interested in organizing Tangiers export into Russia. The tobacco tax is extremely low here. For example, you can buy a pack of Dunhill cigs for $2. 50g AF - $2-3. 50gp Nakhla - $1.

are there any additional Tangiers Lucid Flavors for the near future. (i would highly support any movement in that field) Can you pick them up in SD? im only an hour and a half away and its sounding more and more tempting.

edit: almost forgot did someone mention mango green tea. Edited by joytron
