Cherries Jubilee In Shisha

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I bought had some cherry shisha(can't remember the brand, I think it was Layalina) and it had very little to no taste. I work at a local high class restaurant that serves homemade, fresh cherries jubilee. We top ice cream with the goo, and since this is a flaming desert, we don't want to put too much of the liquid on the ice cream(mostly try to put the cherries on) so to make a long story short, there is usually left overs when someone orders this. I am a huge fan of buss tub buffet, so I usually wait till the stuff cools off and put it in a to-go cup and take it home.

I was irritated with the lack of flavor, so i figured what the hell, why not try to mix the two. The first attempt, I just loaded the bowl with shisha and drizzled the jubilee on top and let it sit a bit to soak in. Yes, this does make a huge mess when using a regular bowl. It smoked amazingly well. Awesome taste!

I did this method a couple times with different shisha flavors and such and worked wonderfully. I then decided to pour some of the jubilee into the bag of shisha itself before packing the bowl. I poured it in and then squished it all around and packed the bowl. To my disappointment, I couldn't even get the bowl to light. Spent 15-20 trying to get it to start and never would.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to either fix the method that failed, or to improve the method that worked?? BTW, I smoke Layalina simply because I have had the best luck with it. I am also hoping this isn't a repeat post, I did a search and didn't come up with anything, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
