Havana Pipe flavor

Recommended Posts

Math, I did a search for reviews on Havana flavors, and came across a post where you said you like their pipe flavor. Could you give a mini review on that flavor for me ? It sounds interesting, but I don't want to buy 250 gr. if it's not what I have in mind. Thanks in advance.

Well,  I'm not going to do a full review because I haven't smoked it in awhile and I would be going strictly by memory.  But,  I will say that IF you like the smell of traditional aromatic pipe tobacco,  then you will probably like Havana Pipe.  Granted, it's not for everyone,  but if you LOVE the taste and/or smell of Pipe Tobacco, then this is THE stuff to buy.  I won't lie to you,  I smoked Havana Pipe for a couple months and then I got tired of it.  It's a great flavor when you first smoke it,  but if you smoke it all the time, you WILL grow tired of it,  just like any other flavor.I REALLY loved Havana Pipe the first couple of months,  but as I said,  I smoked it all the time and got tired of it.  It's a special occasion smoke.  I would not make it part of your daily rotation.  Smoke it every once in awhile so that you don't get tired of it

funny this is brought up - I just got 50g of it yesterday in my
gigantic shipment of starbuzz just to see what it would be like. must
say, I haven't tried it but I'd imagine it would be similar to aromatic
tobacco, like Captain Black or something. I'll let you guys know when I
try it (if somebody else doesn't first haha).

Haha okay well it might not be anything like Captain Black. That's the
only actual pipe tobacco I've tried - it was pretty good, imo. Allow me
to rephrase - I believe the Havana Pipe Tobacco flavor would probably
be similar to an aromatic tobacco, such as Captain Black is aromatic ;)
hahaha. No idea what it tastes like -yet- but I have some sitting with
the rest of my shisha supply...like I said, review coming soon (if
nobody does it first..)
wait did yash say something about a site that sends free samples of this?
Not sure exactly what they send, because its a sh*tton of random sample
packs. Check out my pipe smokers thread in the "serious discussion
forum" and you can get to the link from there. Just fill in the info,
and within a couple weeks, a box FULL of pipe tobacco arrives. Granted
its not all that great stuff, but hey, the price is right ;)

Hey, and maybe you could use some of it to help with making "homemade" shisha experiements :)

-bump-

Tried this a little while ago today - never done a formal review so stick with me.
The smoke was dense, good color (not brown like some I've tried haha),
etc. I wasn't feeling the flavor. I mean it's not gross or repulsive
but I dunno it wasn't my cup of tea. Like musrat said, if I want
something that tastes like pipe tobacco I'll go smoke some pipe
tobacco. I have no idea what kind of pipe tobacco it was supposed to
mimick, as I've only tried Captain Black Light (aromatic...pretty good
IMO but never tried anything else) but it didn't taste like what I've
smoked. Really dark smell when taking it out of the bag, which almost
was gross, like dark coffee shisha but not (strange smell). I don't
think it's something I'd want to do again, maybe if I ran out of shisha
but I dunno I have probably 2 kilos or so of various stuff I'd say is
top of the line. Havana, to me, is a good company to try. Pipe tobacco
isn't a good one to start with when evaluating them as a whole, due to
the bizarre flavor, but I could tell that it lasted and had thick
smoke. I'm looking forward to their double apple when I get around to
trying it, maybe tomorrow or later this weekend.
Oh, and the flavor really intensified about 20 mins into it. If it's
your thing then you'll love it. I wasn't really feelin it so I wrapped
it up. Way too flavorful of dark mystery for me (not quite my taste).

Oh and Yash, about trying the "experiments"
Is it bad to inhale pipe tobacco? Okay nobody lecture me on how none of
it is good, I'm aware of that. Isn't there something about pipes and
cigars that you're not supposed to inhale? I'm not a huge buff on those
so I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to the "why" of them.
I was actually rolling the idea around in my head on seeing what I can
come up with. I don't think there's a way to get rid of tar and gauge
the nicotine content though...
Is it bad to inhale pipe tobacco?
Actually, it has been scientifically proven that the inhalation of pipe tobacco actually adds to one's lifetime.  Those who inhale amounts of pipe tobacco greater than 6 bowls a day are more likely to live past the age of 114.It's not great to inhale it, but relatively speaking, it's not bad.  No worse than cigar/cigarette.  It's more of a matter of personal preference.
