Bye bye now have fun
ive noticed that the cubes have differed up to 1/2 a cm in size and they flake when lighting most of time now. anyone else see this?
soldier92
Hmmm, Coconaras are the most consistant natural coal that I've ever bought. I've never had problems like that with them, but with all the trends of QC going down in respected companies anything seems possible. This is quite discomforting. ryno
I got the 5 boxes from MNH, and I noticed that some are thicker than the others... I've never really used them before this, but they havent been a problem for me
clumsygrace
It seems like my coco's always vary in size but never cause problems for me.
mikeypas
i've also noticed some are thicker than others, but never had any 'flaking' issues.. seems that people that use the portable coil heaters have more problems?
AKammenzind
I still say yinz guys are nuts for buying coals that damn expensive... the makers are probably laughing their asses off that people will actually pay those prices, so I guess if they start to cut costs a little it's just more lulz for them
SuburbanSmoker
there are very few coals i can think of that dont constantly vary in size and quality( in my experience over the years). johns coals have been pretty consistent through the 8 or so boxes ive used as well as the easy lite japanese knock offs. ive only used cocnaras, al awel and the starlight coconut coals and they never seemed to be consistent with the size.I dont think it is something that you should raise a red flag at. just a different type of batch, it happends. ToncSTAR
ive never had flakiness. if thats a word...lolive noticed that some coals are smaller than others, but other than that the only problem ive had with coco naras is that when its on the bowl/foil for awhile without having someone take a hit, the bottom goes out and you have to flip the coal. Sonthert
Golden Canaries got better. Its not universal lowering of quality...just 90% of the market.
Zyram
in every box of coco's I've had there have been some size variation in the coals, but I've never had any kind of flaking, can you explain that more in detail?-Z
inino
QUOTE (AKammenzind @ Mar 10 2009, 09:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I still say yinz guys are nuts for buying coals that damn expensive... the makers are probably laughing their asses off that people will actually pay those prices, so I guess if they start to cut costs a little it's just more lulz for them lol i say you guys are nuts just for buying coals that are designed soley for hookah smoking. i buy mine for 12 bucks for a 40 pound bag, and honestly better than any stove or coil lighting coal.but none the less, that sucks that their quality is going down. Im sure i cant be the only one noticing trends like this in all aspects of smoking hookah.
