anoddmind
I would like to have a small collection of bowls to show off for when company comes over, and I would also like to buy most, if not all of them in one shot. I would like to buy them all at once so I can construct a case to protect, display and transport them, as soon as possible. I'm thinking of making my purchase via H-S, mostly because I have done most of my business with them in the past, and I have a decent idea on what to expect from them. I am budgeting myself at $45 and this is what I plan to buy. Please let me know your opinions on this purchase and any advice you have to offer.1. Phunnel Hookah Bowl - seems to be the necessity, the creme de la creme of bowls as far as I understand it. and I understand also, that this is recommended fo "juicier shishas"? (romman? I still have a limited knowledge of shisha varieties, this has been the wettest I have gotten so far) 2. Mya Ceramic Bowl - most of the friends that I have that come over and smoke request a variety of apple (double apple, apple and honey mix...apple)I was thinking that having a bowl that is unglazed would be good for this, after I read that unglazed bowls tend to retain some amount of the flavor of what you smoke out of it.3. Double Head Bowl - shits and giggles really, I don't think I would use it much, but it would look kind of cool as a party bowl. 4. Conservation Bowl - I think that as a novice, it would be wise to have a small bowl like this to help sample new shishas I order as they come in (I'm still ordering small boxes of about 50gms, other than cases where only larger sizes are available.) also I find myself at a coffee shop on some weekends, and this bowl would be perfect for those small sessions.5. Mod Bowl - I already own this, it came with my hookah.thanks for any input that you have on this topic.
delSol_si
I know this is from a different company than your preferred company, but I just received an order from them and was impressed. I didn't receive any freebies, but they pack very well and prices are good. This looks like a pretty badass bowl IMO.

ryno
Can't go wrong with an Egyptian head, those would be my favorite bowls behind phunnels.
erufiku
You want a bowl to show off? Get a glass jet phunnel from MNH
likespaceships
Get some standard egyptian heads. They aren't the prettiest looking but they work great. They are also cheap so breaking one isn't much of a big deal.
Doubon
Phunnel for sure, I like the idea of the conservation bowl... im sure it's great for those times when you don't want a 1-2 hour session. HS also started carrying some glass bowls. and you should always consider getting a few discounted egyptians.. they're cheap and they work perfectly. anoddmind
how would an unglazed mod bowl compare to the mya ceramic? I clean the bowl I have now on the regular, with hot water and a little dish soap, would I have to treat either of these bowls differently, and would the unglazed mod start to look dirty with a little time, seems like the whole thing would be very porous? thanks again for all the advice and direction you all have given me so far, very helpful! K1024
i would say 2 phunnels, a small and a medium...but to each their own.the skull bowl sucks, i have a friend that has it and its so shallow and hard to get to seal...its just a frustrating bowl that shouldnt be used.
