About To Smoke Some Bad Tang Lucid Bgb

Recommended Posts

Heh.. well, I call it bad 'cause it's one of those smelly batches. It still has the soy sauce smell to it, though after acclimating a week it now smells like sweet soy sauce. *shrug*

Maybe it'll be good. *crosses fingers*

Hmm.. once again my cocos are dying out too soon.. they're only half-way used up. I get the black bottom on them a lot, so I flip, then that side goes black, and I flip, and both sides are black. Pff.. need a windcover maybe?

I heated the coals back up on my coil burner, and put the little windcover cap I got from Hookah-Shisha on there. It's smoking better now. Infact, it's doing pretty good now that both coals are down to half-sized with the cover on.

The taste is very mild. Sweet, but mild.

I cut the session short 'cause my cocos kept dying on me.

I dunno what's wrong with the cocos. I heat them red hot, till they're on fire, on my coil burner. Then I transfer them straight to the bowl. And still they die down too soon. Maybe I should try some Jap Canarys, but that silver stuff gets all over my burner.

I don't get it. When you flip the coal the black side should be facing up and it should turn red again.

It does that maybe once.. then eventually both sides are black and the coal just dies at that point. I don't get it either.

I have never seen this happen. Even if I don't flip my cocos they still burn all the way though. I don't think I have ever used a coal that extinguishes itself without burning completely.

when i heat cocos i heat it up for 5 mins on coil burner then flip them and wait another 5 mins usually that will last forever.

Yeah.. I might not be heating them up long enough. I heat them next to the window with a fan on high speed blowing out the window, so there's a vaccuum effect over the coals. They get good and red and firey this way. But this might be playing tricks with my eyes and not heating them all the way through.

the only way coals should go out is lack of oxygen...which shouldnt be happening in your situation. seems really wierd for coals to just go out, try not flipping them?

I chain-smoke my hookah during a session. The longest I've had cocos last is about 2 hours on a glass screen. But for some reason when I overpack my phunnel and use foil the coals die quicker. Maybe not enough oxygen? Too much packing? They last longer with a windcover on them.

I got some lucid bgb and it half smells good half smells funky. Whenever I smoke it I get a great smell of it but a funny taste. Not really a bad taste but not a good taste. I don't know if i'm just getting it all wrong or that bluegumball is just a crappy flavor.

Here is what is probably happening with your Cocos. You are using a phunnel, and overpacking it. That causes small ammounts of excess molasses to seep out the holes. That will then put out your coals. Simple as that.

One cure could be dont put as much tobacco in the head, or dont push down on the foil once you poke the holes...

Ah, that's possible. I do poke the holes all the way to the bottom of the funnel, and when I pull the poker out there's some molasses on the foil around the holes.

I'm wondering if I should mix some honey into this shisha, if that might help the smell and flavor. The flavor is so mild that the tobacco taste is overpowering it.
