HellCat
Hey everyone, I am making a diffuser and I have 2 questions.1) does the very bottom of the diffuser need a plug?2) how deep into the water does the stem with diffuser go? Can you please provide a picture?I am making one out of clear tubing with drilled/poked holes. Thanks
soldier92
The bottom of the diffuser will need a plug if it is made out of tubing, you want the only way for the smoke to travel to be through the small holes, a large hole in the bottom will defeat the purpose. The diffuser should just go over the end of your downstem, fill with water like you normally would. HellCat
Right but does the water go above, past the diffuser to a half inch over the stem, or does it go a half inch above the diffuser? Also, thanks for letting me know I need a plug. What do you recommend I use for a plug?
K1024
you dont need a plug. the water level should be as high as it can go before you have a hard to pulling, and without getting water in the hose.i say you dont need a plug because the smoke will escape through the upper holes, and if you plug it then it could cause a bad problem with pull. put a lot of holes in there and then leave the bottom open just in case you want to take a huge rip or something.
