newjacksm
From March - September I have ants in my house these little assholes are the worst. today I found them covering my tupperware but they didnt get inside my shisha. They only tried to get into my Vanilla AF and Chocolate AF. Anyone know any simple things I can purchase to keep these bastards out my room? I am spraying Raid underneath my heater where they are coming from which stops them for a couple hours then I start seeing them again!
Dr. B
Detergent acts as a roadblock for them. Place lines in high traffic areas.Place baking soda in highly populated areas. The ants will take it to their queen and eat it and die. Ants can't burp.
Zinite
Start with cleaning your living space. Take everything out of your room, vacuum, and as you place your furniture back in, wipe it down with a light cleaner like Simple Green. If you have tile, mix bleach and water in a bucket and scrub your floor with it. This is the only thing that got rid of my ant problem in my kitchen. Once they locate a source of food, it's nearly impossible to get them to go away unless you clean EVERYTHING.
newjacksm
I have no idea what they are gunning for in my room besides shisha. They were on my desk not in uniform but just all over the place like scavaging and today i noticed they were around the shisha notably around the AF vanilla and chocolate.. Zyram
As above, you have to THOROUGHLY clean everything, ants are persistent when they find anything they can eat, they will keep coming because the chemical trails they leave are still there, and the more ants that come in the stronger the trail. You might even go outside and spray some raid outside the home as well. Give everything a deep clean and hopefully you can get rid of their trail. I've never tried the baking soda thing, I'll have to give it a shot some time.-Z
liquidglass
Powdered Cinnamon also works as a stopping line for Ants, I had some ants in my car, spread cinnamon under the mats and I was good to go.
Sonthert
Bay leaves work for cockroahes. Probably for ants too. Mix the baking soda with a little sugar. Boric acid works too.
Voski
I was going to tell you to buy this Chinese Ant Chalk but it looks like it is illegal in the US now =(

K1024
what about buying them a hotel? that way they have a nice place to take their hookers, and thusly dont want to bother you!
JDHarding
Heh.. that's not quite what a hotel does. *snicker* Unless the ants contract a disease from the hookers and die quickly.
newjacksm
I wiped down my floor with clorox where they have been and my desk. I also sprayed the shit out of my window with raid because for some reason I have a feeling they are hanging out in there somewhere.. (there use to be a nest in there when I was younger like 6) I haven't seen any ants yet **Crossing fingers**
gruver
Use Terro liquid. It's borax in a syrup. The ants love it. They come eat as much as they can, then take it back to the nest. You put several drops on a piece of cardboard, and put it in the path of the ants. Kills the whole nest. It's the best stuff I've used by far, and it's not as nasty as raid. You can get it at most hardware stores and a lot of other places.http://www.terro.com/
