Bob... twitter is a social networking site that allows you to post SMS blog type updates (each post is limited to 165 characters)... its just little quips (called tweets) that explain what you're doing/thinking/where you're at.

Seems kinda pretentious, I don't think I know anyone who cares what I'm doing at all hours haha

I would.

I want to know everything about you.

I'm strangely aroused

where else can i complain about shit noone cares about to people who dont want to hear it?

I agree.

I have looked at twitter and I am like...wow it's just a Giant "post whatever random thought pops into your head" board. Where you can keep up with the mundane, retarded and senseless thoughts of all your acquaintances in your life who you would probably punch if they said that to you in real life.

I will avoid twitter as long as possible... or maybe until Google finalizes their buyout.

On the other (non hookah) forum I read, they have this twitter group set up. Basically you would send a direct message to @HookahForum, then it would be sent out to anyone that follows the group.
I really like this for my other forum because I can send out tweets complaining about my job (my boss and other workers follow me) and only people following the group will see the tweets.
I could easily set one of these for the forum. I wanted to see the interest first. I think it would be pretty cool. I'm thinking it could be used for "Im smokin Tangers blue gumball..." or quick questions, etc.

Maybe we could just come up with a hashtag we could all follow, although the group idea could have benefits for those of you who follow co-workers... I was thinking something like #hookahforum after our tweets. If you use TweetDeck, set up a search for #hookahforum and you'll see them all.

My rule about social networking -- don't be online friends with your co-workers.

The two programs I use for twitter don't have an easy way to follow hash tags. The great thing about this set up is it puts it in your feed.
I keep my twitter pretty professional. From my updates it would be really easy to figure out where I work, so I always have to think about how my tweets will reflect on the theater. So thats why I really like this set up.

The way I have it set up right now the twitter account is protected. So you cant see it unless you follow it. If you request to follow, it shoots me an email, I can do it all from my phone, so I should be able to get you confirmed probably in less then an hour (no way longer then 12hours)
