I Have 400g Of Flavorless Tangiers

Recommended Posts

I ordered 500g of Tropical Punch with my last order, it smoked well for the first 3 times. Then, no flavor at all. I set it back out without the cover hoping it would re-acclimate. No such luck. I put the cover back on and put it away for almost 2 weeks, opened it up and now it barely has a smell. Never had a problem with Tangiers before and will continue to order it, but does anyone have any idea on how to save this? 400g of Tangiers is a lot of baccy goodness sad.gif

I wouldn't put it in a sealed bag. Just naked in the freezer.

The aroma will return when you get it out of that humidity change. Alternately, you didn't stir it well enough.

is it ok to do this in a tupperware, I have had at least a couple batches of tangiers that wouldnt acclimate or would have had acclimated then would go back into shock and have a bad tabbaco smell and stay that way forever. Noteably::: Green Apple Candy and Static Starlight. Edited by newjacksm

I think green apple always stinks. Static Starlight has a very odd aroma, too. Maybe live on the edge and try them. smile.gif

I have the Green Apple Candy never had a good taste to it. It had a burnt taste but with out the burning. There was some hint of Green Apple Tasting but light to none. Static Starlight the first 150G were good but after that it had a weird smell and I would get a tabacco taste/feel of the mouth as if i smoked a cigar. I do have the tub usually open 24/7

Well my tropical punch has the smell back after taking it out of the freezer. I'm going to smoke some later and update the thread, hopefully the flavor came back too.

still no flavor, epic fail sad.gif oh well..won't deter me from tangiers goodness

Most likely an acclimation problem....I know you froze it, but perhaps if you seprarate into smaller portions, im asuming here that you have it in one big tubberware, it should hopefully mellow out a little and get the flavor back. Just leave it out for a few hours in smaller portions and try that....

I like the green apple candy. It's one of the stronger Tangiers flavors I've tried. It has staying power that only a few flavors really have. The last puff is as good as the first one. Most of the flavors start strong and mellow out to a good taste as the smoke goes on. This one just kicks you in the mouth until you're finished. Me likey.

Can this have anything to do with why I cant smoke tangiers? I have tried every trick in the book and have produced thin, extremely harsh smoke. I have even left it out for an hour and let the cocos burn up, come out, pull on my hose and burn the back of my throat.

Your problem sounds like a packing problem, most likely heat management and underpacking

More tobacco in the bowl. Thin, harsh smoke is not enough tobacco in the bowl.
