Packing Shisha In A Phunnel?

I've heard when using a phunnel the shisha should be sprinkled in, except for Tangiers, which should be packed down in the bowl. I just packed down some AF Watermelon, and it's smoking fine with the pack down method. So.. why should it be sprinkled in instead? I figure with how wet and juicy it is, packing it down should be fine.

It's a small Tangiers phunnel. I'm using 2 cocos and a windcap. Foil. 2 rings of holes out near the rim. Shisha's not touching the foil. Smokes just fine.

If your method works fine then continue using it! I prefer the sprinkle method but ensure that the shisha is over the middle hole. Just had some Lucid Horchata last night... Love it!!!

I didn't pack that much in there. It's below the middle hole. Seems to work just fine, just not as strong of a flavor.

I've packed it both ways with all different kinds of shisha, it always works fine. Just keep doing whatever works for you : )

Phunnels arent really as hard as some people have made them seem to be. what ever method you use, as long as your satisfied with the results, stick with it.

I've always contended the same thing. I've always believed that the sprinkle method was something that cheap hookah lounge owners invented to make more money. Some people swear by it, I always pack the other brands of tobacco, too.
