JDHarding
First of all, I had no idea this order would get here today. The Fedex site said Tuesday of next week, but somehow this got here today, so I'm so excited! Upon opening the bag of this shisha, the smell is a PUNCH IN THE FACE smell of cherries. Just this sweet, kick you in the nose scent, like I opened a can of sweet cherry syrup. If it smokes half as good as it smells, this will be AWESOME.The only Tang shisha I've smoked thus far is Lucid Blue Gumball. And THIS smells far stronger. I don't think it needs a single second of acclimation at this point. It's gonna blow my mind!I can't wait to load a bowl and smoke it!

JDHarding
Smoking the k-cherry right now. I'm using some Japanese canary coals. Not sure how many I need since this is my first time using them in about a year.
JDHarding
Ah.. back to using my trusty cocos. This has an odd flavor. I dunno how to describe it.
JDHarding
Alright. 40 minutes into smoking it and the cocos are now cookin the shisha good. The canarys seemed to only get the shisha started, but didn't cook it very well. Possibly not enough heat from those.Taste is okay, the smell is STRONG. Super cherry scent. I'm not sure why I'm not getting a lot of flavor. I overpacked the bowl and packed the shisha down. It was a little tougher to pack this time 'cause this mix has much larger pieces of tobacco leaves in it. That shows the quality of the tobacco used. No shredded bits here.I'm not getting a buzz like I do with my Lucid Blue Gumball.Oh, I think I forgot to mention.. this is LUCID K-cherry, not OG. JDHarding
Wow.. well, I'm enjoying this k-cherry quite a lot. And k-peach is supposedly better? I gotta get me some of that. Sadly, this is makin my stomach sick, so.. I gotta stop.. even though I don't wanna. Edit: I mean it's makin me sick 'cause it's givin me gas from swallowing too much air. LOL. The shisha's not makin me sick. It's not even giving me a buzz. Edited March 15, 2009 by JDHarding
cxc5120
Well if its lucid it shouldnt be giving too much of a buzz lol. How was the smoke? thick?
VdubGTI
I haven't tried K-Cherry so I can't say K-Peach is better but I do love K-Peach, I think Im going to order K-Cherry when I run out of Maracino (spelling?) Cherry.
JDHarding
The smoke was pretty thick, with only 2 coco naras. I put the windcover on at some point and got much thicker smoke. No harshness, though. But the flavor seemed a bit mild. I should have packed it up to the rim.
EternalSoil
you're supposed to pack it above the rim then push it down to even.Canary's are what the man himself uses. let us know what bowl you're using and you will get a better guess at what to use. cotsi95
With a small phunnel i use 3-4 fumari coals (GC)
JDHarding
Alright. Trying 3 of these little Canary coals. This time I used a slightly different packing method by shoveling the shisha into the phunnel into a mound/hill on top of the phunnel, then lightly packing it down into the phunnel. This made it level with the outer rim of the phunnel.Smokin pretty good. Seems the shisha needs some time to heat up before the flavor will come out. I heated the coals up pretty hot and blew on them to remove most of the silver, but some is still stuck to the coals and doesn't want to blow off. *shrug* Oh well. evilded777
ummmm....I'm supposed to be getting some KCherry, but I think HS messed up my order. Will have to wait an see when it comes in.I had my first bowl of OG Guava on Friday. Oh... My.... God!It was so frickin' delicious, I didn't want it to end. And I smoked the same bowl 3 times... I was house cleaning, and didn't really get to enjoy each round. But each time it was just as full and flavorful as the one before it. And when I finally emptied the bowl, realized I probably could have got more out of it because the bottom was still moist (moist, haH! there were juices in the bottom of the bowl).I can not wait to get more Tangiers. judgeposer
QUOTE (JDHarding @ Mar 15 2009, 07:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I'm using the bowl the man uses.. Tangiers small phunnel..I don't think I've seen Eric ever smoke of anything but a large phunnel, no matter though...at least you're not using a knock-off!Like what's been said, pack above the rim, though not by much, and compress down with the foil to about a dime to a quarter's height -below- the rim, stretch back the foil tightly, poke holes, add coals and smoke. For a small, like yours, I find three Japanese coals perfect. I also find that too much head on Lucid or even regular Tangiers will diminish the flavor, even if it does produce monstrous smoke. With the right heat management, provided by you and say, three Japanese coals, you should produce amble smoke and flavor. Here's the good smoking! arhutch
k-cherry is pretty good, k-peach is even better. like cotsi said, 3-4 fumari coals and let the bowl sit a cook for a few minutesmonster smoke, and excellent flavor
