Joel
I was wondering if there is any benefit to buying the coals that you need to heat up slowly over the stove as opposed to the coals that will light themselves in a matter of seconds.

Giant Ninja Robot
QLs (quick lights) typically impart more of a coal taste to a session than naturals. They tend to burn out a bit qucker as well. That being said I enjoy using 3 Kings QLs, I find VERY little if any taste is imparted from them and they last longer than most others. Although I do use exotica natural finger coals on the regular and they definately last longer and impart NO flavor. They also are great for different styles of baccy since they can be cut to the length you desire.CH (abreviated to adhere to forum rules) coconut coals are great as well, if not a bit better than exoticas but def more expensive.Hope that helps.Oh, and you can usually get more for your money buying natural coals.
