NimbleCow
Any thoughts on Tangiers Apple or Lucid Yellow Apple? Is Tangiers in general less flavored than say, an AF?
evilded777
So I got my AF G Bah. Apple yesterday... and now I smell the anise. I didn't have any apple that was fresh when I came here and started learning, so I guess I can understand why I didn't smell the anise before. But after taking a big whiff of the BA, I remember my first smoke (in Bermuda, at the Cafe Cairo -- thanks Mike and Debbie), and realize that the anise was there all along, just didn't realize what it was! Shame, for someone who says they hate it.But I guess taken in moderate doses, and mixed with something yummy, its ok!The AF Golden Bahraini Apple will definitely be on my stocked list from now on.Got so many flavors yesterday, dying to try them all. But I will acc. the Tangs Apple in the next day or so to add my impressions to this thread.

ColibriDon
QUOTE (NimbleCow @ Mar 18 2009, 06:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Awesome replys. I think this is a valuable topic as Apple is such a classic flavor.I think next I'll need to try Nakhla DA. However, have any Nakhla DA folks tried Nakhla Bahraini Apple? I wonder if it would lean a bit more appley than DA? Also--I've heard with Nakhla--it's better to get jars for maximum juiciness.Nakhla Mizo Apple? Good stuff? Anisey?Nakhla Mizo Apple is actually pretty good. A very faint anise flavor that is evident but not over powering. I haven't tried Nakhla Bahraini Apple but I have tried AF Golden Bahraini apple, it was actually very good. One of my friends who hates anise absolutely loved it. If you're going to buy some Nakhla DA, pick up the jars. They're much better. They have a different flavor from the boxes. I'm still looking for a kilo can of Nakhla DA but can't find one. If you get the jars, you won't have to doctor it up with glycerine or anything, it will give off great clouds straight out of the jar. Good luck! Giant Ninja Robot
Noone (self included) has mentioned Nakhla single apple.I think I'm going to pick some up and see how it is especially in comparison to DA, I'm assuming it'll have less anise to it.Any thoughts? gunsboy
I have noticed that AF Double Apple is a very sensitive shisha. If everything is not setup perfectly it tastes like crap, but when it it setup right with a good hose and a clean hookah, it is heavens on earth.I have also noticed that the first bowl after cleaning the hookah and changing water might not have a very strong taste. The second bowl is awesome. Yes, I smoke 2-3 bowls for like 2-3 hours at a time

NimbleCow
Just ordered some Nakhla Mizo Apple based on all the recent Mizo buzz going around, and as well--some Tangiers Lucid Yellow Apple based on Eric saying it's the best Apple and I've been meaning to give Tangiers a second chance for some time now (first chance was a bag of Kashmir Apple was entirely too incensey for my tastes).I'll post some notes back once I get the goods. Anyone else Appling lately?
