Views On Glolden Layalina?

Recommended Posts

Ok, so im gonna make an order from mnh, I normally smoke AF but I havne recently tried starbuzz and tangiers lucid. not much a SB fan (although I was still trying to find my groove when it comes to setting up) and lucid is far too problematic for me.

So im just gonna order AF again (heres hoping the quality is still good, gonna go for the golden range and some grenadine, guava, peach and lemon)

I want to order something else, so I have been thinkin about layalina. A quick search showed me that the quality of layalina has gone down. Is this the same for the golden range? Also what flavours are good? Theres not much in the reviews section. I've been looking for a good blueberry and golden layalina comes to mind.

I've had their chocolate, key lime, and apple cinnamon. They all produce really nice smoke, are overpriced, are very touchy on heat management, and only the key lime has a really exceptional flavor. If you really want to try GL, I'd suggest picking that one up, but not either of the other two.

I just got in tins of Golden Layalina Chicago Special and Cognac. Those are weird selections, I know, but I just wanted something 'different'. The cognac really does smell like cognac. Gonna try at least one of them out tonight. Never had Layalina before. I stick to AF, Nakhla, and Tangiers usually. Edited by GreatPigHookah

This brand of tobacco is a cheap wannabe Fusion.

And Fusion is a cheap wannabe Starbuzz.. and so on... and so on..

I don't know why people hate on Fusion so much... has always smoked extremely well for me. And really it's not that cheap, unforch

Im sorry, but afte rsmoking Golden L. and Lots of Fusion, I think Fusion blows it out of the water, and Fusion now has a nicer cut to the tobacco, and less stems. I think it kills it in every possible way.

Damn. That's too bad. At least I'll have lowered expectations now. I don't like fusion at all, and starbuzz is fine if you want to pay twice the price for 30 minutes of flavor. Edited by GreatPigHookah

+1, though you still do get a few tree branches in fusion... one of the drawbacks of a natural cut...

best banana flavor on the market. which isnt hard considering its competition. other than that its expensive, the tins are way too small for 250g to sit loose in it, and most of their other flavors lose taste after 30 minutes.

I like Golden Layalina. I've tried Blueberry, Key Lime, Chocolate Strawberry, and Raspberry Creme.

I thought all of them were very good. I guess I can understand the hating on expensive brands but I've got no problems with GL. It gives me very solid smoke, great long-lasting flavor (I've smoke 2-3 hour sessions with full flavor all the way through), and easy to keep from going harsh.

I would say buy a tin. Everybody who has smoked Raspberry creme has loved it and I've never had it go harsh on me.

As far as SB goes, I'm in agreement there, I don't think it's worth the price.

I only buy regular Layalina for mixing Blackberry/AF Mint is a favorite amongst my roommates. The quality is...interesting. It has a slimy feel that took some getting used to but it smoked fine but it had a weird flavor.

I'm trying my tin of Cognac flavor right now for the first time. It's interesting. I don't know that it's an everyday smoke, but it's something completely different. They did a pretty decent job of emulating cognac flavor. Smoke is pretty decent, similar to AF, not as good as tangiers.

What is "Chicago special"? The first thing I thought of was a cleveland steamer, so it wasn't a flavor I considered.

I've also had the golden layalina blueberry grape. Pretty good as well.

I'd say overall it may be a bit overpriced, but it's a good enough shisha.

well despite what everyone im sure has said and think i got a 50g sample of Chicago special (born there and like in IL so i had to).....i used it in my MNH mini glass funnel.....was great....awesome clouds great flavor....but everyone asks what is chicago special...the best way i can describe it is a mix of 3 or 4 berrys. it seemed to me like it was a mix of raspberry, blackberry, mangosteen, and maybe something else....well whatever it really is i like it alot and it smoked well....i had 4 friends smoke it and they all like the flavor and how smooth it was...however since its Layalina no one got a buzz
