What Tangiers Should I Try First?

Recommended Posts

Ive finally decided that I really need to get some Tangiers and see what it's all about.

What flavor is an easy flavor to get right and taste great?

I am also wondering what the best way to acclimate (or how long I should acclimate). Since I live in FL I would guess the humidity would play a big factor in this.

What do ya think?

Watermelon is one of the easiest ones to get right...I got that one right before even joining the forum.

I would acclimate till it smells right, here in texas it's less than 24 hours usually.

Is there a specific location in a house that's best to acclimate ?

I acclimate in the kitchen, mostly because I acclimate several flavors at a time usually, and I don't have space in my office where I smoke where the dog won't try to get into it.

i recommend lucid. Most of the flavors are excellent and it has very little trouble with heat management and is easy to pack. horchata, K-cherry, brambleberry, passionfruit to name a few good ones. I know the first few times i smoked tangiers it was really hard to get right and i wasted alot, thats why i would say do lucid, but if you have patience you can get the og stuff right too.

I wouldn't advise it. When you're ready, you'll know it. Tangiers isn't a bandwagon, its a snowplow. Stick with other fine brands, like Al Fakher, Nahkla, Starbuzz and the like. When you're ready, we'll still be here.

I feel that im ready to try some Tangiers. I have smoked most AF flavors, it's what I smoke daily. Don't get me wrong I do love AF and other brands, I just want something different.

Been smoking hookah for almost 2 years now...I want some change !!

I own a small phunnel bowl and I really think it won't be broken in until I pack it with some Tangiers =]

Guava, guava, guava...

Ok, I've only had two flavors so far... and maybe I've been lucky, because I've not had any issues (admittedly, I did some research, and bought a phunnel before I ever bought the tobacco); but the guava will knock your socks off.

I've got og Apple, and Lucid Watermelon and Apple waiting to try.

I want MORE!

Some of the easier ones I've tried :

Static Starlight - The best grape-like shisha I've ever had, IMO
Horchata - tastey spiced rice/milk flavor
Chocolate Mint - strongest flavored shisha I've had - flavor hits you like a sledgehammer
Mint - Very, very good mint that's easy to smoke - just the right strength
Kashmir Peach - Strong incense flavor with a good hint of peach
Kashmir Cherry - Similar to above, a little stronger fruit flavor, cherry tartness
Pink Grapefruit - this stuff is awesome, have some cold gin along with it and it flat out ROCKS.

For the more adventurous smoker:

Marigold - Earthy, smells like crushing marigolds between your fingers - goes great with red wine. One of my personal favorites but probably not for everyone.
Indigo Flower - Very similar to marigold, earthy floral but sweeter - also excellent with red wine.

I will have to go with the masses and say get K-Cherry. One of my favorites. K-Peach is great also, but its hit or miss for most people who I have smoked it with. You either love it or hate it.

I have been smoking a lot of Melon Blend lately too. Reminds me of Nakhla Sweet Melon a lot, but the flavor is stronger and there is a little bit more to it.

For Noir Tangiers Tropical Revenge! was very easy for myself, it was acclimated and smelled good from the moment I got it, and it's an easy one to setup. Blueberry was pretty much the same way, but required a small amount of acclimation.

As far as Lucid goes, you can't go wrong with any of them, I've bought everything but Passion Fruit & Strawberry and I have had 0 problems with any flavors.. smoking Brambleberry right now.
