xipander
Ok, right now I have the Sahara infinity and it looks amazing. That's really about it. The base is pretty, but a little lop-sided and the stem is getting crummy already. It's getting gunked up in the threads where it comes apart and the shape of the inside of the stem makes it really hard to clean. I also have the ice chamber on mine, but don't have the vortex bowl. Also the shape of the base combined with the downpipe really doesn't work well, the down pipe is short enough to where i have to put water up to about the part where it curves up to get it underwater, and by then there's very little room for smoke.I want a wide stainless steel stem, medium sized, and can fit 1 Nammor hose. I'd also like a bell shaped semi-transparent base, but that's not as important. I actually want to buy them seperate if I can anyway. The ice chamber on the Sahara is nice, but not necessary.I've looked around at stems but they never show an inside view so I can't get a judgement on diameter. If anyone has any suggestions it'd be helpful.Thanks.

KM's are wider through the stem than generic Egyptians and Syrians judging from my collection which includes KMs, MZs, Syrians, and generics. I have never owned a Mya but enough people are happy with them especially their smaller pipes like the Bambino. I would say simply by a solid brand you have good reviews of that you love the look of.'Rani
SuburbanSmoker
youd be better off buying them together. look into an mz or km as that seems what you like.
An1m
You could get a KM Ice if you like the ice bucket look, but if you're into hookahs that work well forever, are crafted well and won't have shoddy welding jobs, wobbly bases and questions about rust buy a Mya. If you love egyptians get a Magdy Zidan or have a friend go to Egypt and get you a first rate KM, not the stuff they send over here and charge 4-5 times as much for retail. inino
either KM and mya will be great. KM as an1m says will definitely look really traditional, but if it is a good KM and not one of the cheap quality ones you wont have rust issues. myas are excellent pipes too, they have a modern look and smoke great. personally i like the traditional look and pulls of a KM, but whatever suits you. you wont be disappointed. EternalSoil
Reviews are here It's hard to know exactly which ones are MZ.Social smoke has a lot of MZ's but they changed the names on them, so you might have to go back and froth on their site and here. Victim026
Unless your willing to throw $100+ down on a Tri-Metal KM then get a nice Magdy Zidan.

I'd much rather buy a good one for $160 and know it's going to last and work great, then just spend $80 on an "ok" one and then not be happy with it and buy a new one in a few months. I like the traditional look of the KM's and MZ's. The stems on the KM's look a little wider, which is good. How's the craftmanship between the two? I know there's a few flaws here and there, but overall which are usually better? I'm looking for about a 29" - 31" pipe. What are the better sites for good quality KM or MZ pipes online? Victim026
Your honestly not going to find much difference in the downstem width between a MZ and a KM. I know at one point someone did the measurments and pics to go with it and they were the exact same size. I would say go with what you prefer the looks of more, I've had KM's and MZ's last years now. Capt. Morgan
Personally I'm a fan of the MZ's. They smoke amazingly. I know they aren't as popular on here as KM's but I haven't heard near as many complaints about quality issues. And they are quite a bit cheaper too. Bulldog_916
Vendor is reputable. If you wanna drop 120 on the pipe I'm sure it will be worth it for you. I wouldnt but that's just me.

I love that one. It's between that and this one in red. I was wanting a smaller personal one too, and the MYA bambino's are too small.I couldn't find any reviews on that particular model MZ, but it looks solid.I might just get both and have the MZ as my personal pipe, the KM for me and my wife and a few close friends, and the sahara for for when my clumsy friends come over... the same ones I make use the plastic cups.
