wilarseny Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 The obelisk has passed away. Smoked way, way, way too much in a semi-non-ventilated room, and passed out flat on top of it. Luckily only the base of the hookah broke, and everything else seems to still be in working order. But it will be reborn, even if that means dropping 60$ + 20 for shipping on a new base. Have to order from myasaray directly since h-s doesn't have the amber colored base. Either way, everyone who's talked about the sadness of breaking their hookah, I now feel your pain. An1m Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 I never understood how anyone could smoke anything for more than 2.5-3 hours. I've had hookah parties where I don't smoke that long. Do you really have that much leisure time, and choose to spend 9 hours of it smoking? That kinda sounds awesome and undesirable at the same time. You lasted much longer than I would've though. cypherkk Posted March 20, 2009 Share Posted March 20, 2009 back in the day, I would play eve online or WOW and smoke and change out the bowl every 2 hours, on a weekend with nothing else to do, I could see smoking 10 hours straight, though the average day I would say was closer to 4-6. I only smoked for 9 hours because I had a paper due the day after, meaning today, and then when I finished because friends came over and wanted to smoke. Man that was such a bad call. Take away advice, folks: 1) Don't smoke for that long at one time without eating, drinking lots of water, etc, and 2) open a damn window if you really insist on doing it. The difference just being there was ~100g of shisha in there.
