Arcane
QUOTE (cotsi95 @ Mar 23 2009, 06:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>no hes gonna light the ch ql and then light GC off the CH. It will be fine.lol...seems like cotsi is the only one that understand what i'm trying to do.1. light CH QL "off" the bowl, place somewhere till it's fully ashed over2. place CH QLs on bowl3.smoke for about 20-30 minutes4. place GC on top of CH QL5. continue smoking6. add more GCs on top of lit GCs till the bowl is done
EternalSoil
oh, ok... i see what you're doing now...i read CH ql to GC meaning CH ql onto GC, thus putting a CHql on top of a GCi might have to try that later actually. the way you are, not the way i thought you were. EternalSoil
arcane, i took the coal off that i tried to light with the CHql and put it aside as i had another on the burner getting readyi figured i would try to light it again with the easylight and found out that the center part where it was leaning actually did light, it was warm everywhere else though. so not enough to fully light it. the CHql was about half way done when i put it on. EternalSoil
ok, even with much of the silver scrapped off, when lighting it on another coal i can taste it.
Arcane
ah nuts...i'll stick with the coal on the burner thing then.maybe one bowl a little down the line, i'll try and light a GC on top of another coal...thanks for testing it out Eternal! cotsi95
jay easylites and GC/Fumaris are NOTHING alike easylites suck you can taste them and the silver is literally JUST PAINT. With a GC even if it JUST BARELY (the tippy tip of the edge) gets lit it will start the whole coal if you just leave it. (I know ive lit 4-5 STICKS in my tray on accident many a time because i dont notice. Just try it for urself already! what do you have to lose lol
