Thats not a 59fifty since its made by reebok. 59fifty's are only made by new era. I know i ONLY wear 59fifty's, oh and you can bend the brim (i dont i cant stand bent brimmed hats, i actually iron my brims when they start to bend.) Also you can tell because 59fifty's come with a sticker on the brim.

My pride a joy's are my Rider RedBull New Era hats.

just bend the damn brim, and theres only certain shortbill 5950's, i actually really liked my old MLB flawless shortbrim but the brims on all my flatbrim 5950s are just as long as any other hat ive had. and if they didnt block out the sun they wouldnt be the official on field hats for every MLB team in the nation.

I love my flat brimmed 59s. I can't handle leaving the sticker on though. I'm not cool enough to pull it off.

Well shit. Reebok does make same decent NFL/NHL hats, but I never have seen any come through my store. We never got fitted caps, just the ripoff flexfit one size fits all garbage.

whats the point of leaveing the sticker on i never got it

The point of leaving the sticker on the hat is to advertise that it is real, and to give people the idea that it's new. The people who wear these hats, with stickers on them idolize people who exult conspicuous consumption to a godlike status. They want to give people the appearance that they have lots of money and enjoy throwing it away on such things. Ironically, someone who actually had the money to do this shit wouldn't actually need to prove it by leaving a sticker on their hats. The kids who idolize hip-hop "culture" around the world don't have that sort of money but they like to pretend that they do.

Saw some kids walking down the street yesterday while I was on my way to work. "Man gimme 15 dollars!!!" "Motherfucker do I look like I've got 15 dollars?"

Both of them were wearing name brand clothes, 5 sizes too large, with fresh fitted hats and some nikes fresh from sweatshops in Indonesia but these dumb motherfuckers can't find two nickels to rub together between them. I fucking hate this shit and I really just wish that people would wake the fuck up.

Yes so I was right... it was a rapper. Most likely pharell or whatever that guys name is. Or lupe fiasco. They both are skaters aren't they, and have been around forever?

I was a skater before all that weird rapper and then emo crap came along. I wore baggy clothes and baggy jeans and big fat skate shoes that padded my feet on the landing and when i was dragging it for flips.

Now it's all about a style... a hideous rapper-inspired style that isn't with many skaters anymore... mostly with dudes who drove STi cars and stuff like that. All black shirts, all flat-brim hats, the rich ones have designer jeans, the other have like abercrombie- and the worst of all, the spiked hair and the feax-hawks and the terrible popped collar. There's a great website that shows this type of people with their common name in New York, the guido. Most of the world knows them as tools or douche bags.

I'm not saying all people who wear flat-brimmed hats are tools.... just the ones that add the rest of the package. wink.gif

Now skating is about being scene or emo (same difference) and listening to shitty music. But now Fixed Speed cycling is the new skating, and those kids are even worse and listen to really bad Indie Rock bands and Ska (the worst creation since britney spears).

Skiiers, though, are BY FAR, the worst. For you people who don't live by a mountain - be lucky you don't have to deal with skiiers. Not all skiiers, just the ones who drink Pabst on the mountain. You fucks, buy a good beer.

And before you say I'm wrong, think about it, and then don't say I'm wrong because you know I am absolutely not wrong.

cotsi if by "punk" you mean blink182 then yes ive never been to a punk show, unless you include warpedtour and see a person witha flatbilled hat. hippo ska (well skacore) is awesome and has been around since at least the 80s. in addition, pbr definately a party beer. i dont know about you but im in college and spending 2 more dollars to get pbr over beast or natty is totally worth it. if i had unlimited money would i drink pbr? no id probably get a keg of dead reckoning

btw how many ska kids does it take to change a lightbulb

You can mix Carnation Malt into a glass of fizzy water and BAM! - PBR. wink.gif

Nah PBR is the best you can get of the shit beers - the hop flavor is literally nonexistent... but the super malt makes it much better than the others. At least it's halfway beer. And also, I am glad you are one of the college kids who knows his beer Gnu. smile.gif . Ohh and Keystone is tolerable.

Also, the 2 times I went to warped tour (which i have to say, 2 of the worst experiences of my life - listening to shitty music while sitting in 100* weather getting covered in dirt and almost literally being forced to drink energy drinks instead of water - whom ingredients literally deprive you of every essential vitamin needed to stay hydrated and conscious in weather that nasty. Ohh, and I don't even want to get into the Emo/Scene/Goth/Skater kids, and worst of all the fat women) I did not see a flat brimmed hat there except by one of the band members, and he was a skater. Ohh and there was a black dude in a band had one as well. I did see a lot of flat-ironed hair though.

Gnu, it takes 3 ska kids - one one to put in the lightbulb, one to think he's actually playing music and one to upload the videos on youtube because they can't get a record label to take them in. Edited by Hippo_Master

actually it just takes 1 to change it but 3 more to pick it up pick it up pick it up. i dont consider warped tour punk it was scenekid faggotry. the only reason i went was a) i jumped the fence and got in for free and cool.gif just watched pennywise and had to leave before bad religion. id never pay to see warped tour. there are too many ways to get in with out paying and too many retards with pink bandannas over their face and people doing the fisting the ground shit. also id like to know what ska bands you are talking about because i dont know of any new skacore bands

There is another explanation for the stickers on the brim. It's kept there so that when you take the hat off, you don't have to touch the fabric of the brim. The big one on top, the small genuine sticker on the bottom part of the brim. Grab accordingly with index finger and thumb to take off the hat without soiling the brim.

It doesn't matter who started the trend, it just looks stupid. Mostly those "tough" [generally] white kids (NOT being racist here), with their Tapout or Monster shirts are the ones that wear it along with their mile high raised pickup trucks that have "Norcal" stickers on the rear window. Basically Norcal "bro" kids biggrin.gif

Wade, I think your 59fifties for redbull are actually for the New York Redbull biggrin.gif. Looks damn cool regardless.

Woah, woah, woah... There's a place they breed and it's called Long Island. Don't group all us good New York folk into that category. They only got there though by riding on a boat made of empty lip gloss tubes through an ocean of hair gel from a magical placed called New Jersey.

(Guido's have blowouts, not faux hawks for the most part)

PBR is the best you can get for cheap, but I agree if you're just sipping a pabst at a resort it's kind of dumb.
