Greg_SA
Hi,My "cheap" hose that came with my standard egyptian hoohak (mdeium size of about 24") was getting really old, so I decided to get a new hose. The only hoses I could find were really short or quite long, but the long one looked nice and thick with a nice handle, so I got it.It looked nice, but I was really dissapointed when I smoked with it The previous night I had smoked some Nakhla Liquorice, and the flavour was very distint (fantastic) with the old hose. With the new hose, there was hardly any flavour! I switched back to the old hose and the flavour was back! How is this possible? Is the new hose absorbing the flavour? The amount of smoke was the same, just no flavour with the new hose. The new hose is long and the diameter is thicker - see the attached photos (blue = new hose, white = old hose)Any ideas?CheersGreg

Greg_SA
Anyone else have any opinions? Do hoses need to be broken in?
SuburbanSmoker
ive noticed with nammors exclusively if i dont wash them out before using them the first time that the flavor will diminish. thats what i was refferring to. O and no hoses really dont have to be broken in, at least not in my experience. Edited March 24, 2009 by SuburbanSmoker
Greg_SA
Thanks... I'll try to wash it out, but I thought that I shouldn't supposed to wash it otherwise it will rust like the last hose did?
