How Do You Store Your Hookah?

Recommended Posts

Alright first post on the forum!!!

So I see a lot of people have pictures where they have several hookahs lined up beside each other on tables, and I got to thinking "how does everyone store their hookahs when they aren't carrying them from place to place or being used?" I wasn't sure if I should put them together and let them sit, or leave them apart.

I didn't know if there was a certain way to store them, but I was curious as to how others stored their hookahs.

So, how do YOU guys store your hookahs when they are being unused?

I personally leave both my hookahs in pieces when not using them or carrying them in a travel case. Tends to make them easier to put in a carry case, and easier to keep from breaking and/or getting knocked over.

I always leave my hookahs disconnected when not in use. This way they get aired out all the way.

i just have the stem inserted in the base (sometimes bowl on and sometimes bowl off). it just stays like that on the table until i use it.

edit: after use, i clean/scrub them and leave them disconnected in the basement bathroom for 2-3 days for drying. after that, the stem goes in the base and it sits on the table in this room (my computer room) until its next use. Edited by chinamon

I have my hookahs stored in my old school cabinet, fits 8 pipes and has three drawers. 1st drawer is tobacco, 2nd drawer is tobacco and coal, third drawer is hoses and misc accesories. i leave all the pipes assembled after cleaning. looks like a bunch of trohpies.

I keep everything in the closet in my extra bedroom. Small closet... but I maneuvered the shelves so I can put all my hookahs on it. I usually just keep the stems in the base (after allowing everything to dry out). After getting my most recent hookah, I threw away two of my hookahs (One was a cheap chinese, the blue one in my sig, and was broken/unsmokable. The other, the green based Egyptian, had a hole in the outer stem that caused water to collect in the hollow of the stem). So there's plenty of room for everything now.

i have a really cheap wardrobe from ikea. i keep all of the pipes assembled in there standing on the bottom of it and all my tobacco/coals/foil/heads up on the top shelf. there's also a pole to hang clothes from, but i just hang my hoses in there so they can air out and let all the crap fall out of them...it's actually hella convenient

Antouwan, I want a pic of the wardrobe! I might have to drive an hour to the Ikea store and get me one of those.
