Giant Ninja Robot
Jez, After looking at the bamboo I have I think I can just drill through and use the bamboo as a chamber of sorts to hold more smoke, there's no lining....the tricky part is going to be cutting the right length of it without splitting since it's common for it to do so during cutting. I held it up to my mouth and could even just use the wood itself as a mouthpiece of sorts but really want something a little more complex so I can match the mouthpiece I create to a hose port piece. So I'm thinking that I can just icksnay the shaft I planned to use and find a clever way to plug the homemade tips into the handle itself. I can probably find rubber grommets with a groove in the center at the depot or something to protect the wood and give a tight seal that has a tiny bit of flex for shoving the mouthpiece and hose piece in...which would mean cutting the hole a bit bigger I guess...Man, the ol brain is in overdrive now. Just need to find a lathe to use/borrow, which shouldn't be too hard to do.
Scalliwag
Larry didn't get to spend as much time as he would have liked to one handles. He had some family events as did I today. I had to build a hand rail for my father in law and get some things done around his house for when he comes home after his rehab for his stroke. He did get to spend some time with his new equipment and was really happy with the results. So I was happy to hear that. Hopefully he will get some pieces out real soon. I asked him to get a good mixture of ornate work. Diane comes into town this week and drops off the rest of the covers and take back new materials. Dang I need more time in my days It was a really rough day at my father in law's place and I am looking forward to getting to work tomorrow and getting some rest I should sleep well tonite though.
