Well.. the deal is.. I'm going into a Piercing/coffee/tattoo parlour and setting up the store in there. LOL
But they only ask for 25% of my profit with no space rental fee's.. The guy is really helping me out get this started. he's even fronting me a little money for the first order. Soo.. I just need promotion and support! lol any advice or hints would be greatly appreciated!

So can you setup and smoke hookahs there? Anything to help draw a crowd is a good way to go. A hot belly dancer and a BYOB can get peeps coming in. Works for Scalli anyways
Promotional costs can be written off and if done right can work well. Especially when word gets out about events like that.
Run an ad in the local Craigslist to find a nice dancer as well as promote the event through CL. Cheap publicity.

Got a local tattoo parlor down the street to front me booth space for my henna biz in May - wonder what they'd think about a hookah expansion... on the way there now !!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'd say go for it, thats kinda where i'm at.. the unemployment rate here is in the top 6 of the US.. I can't find a job. at all..
So i figured i'd just try to make it myself.. doing this.

Is there any area outside like an area of parking lot or ? that you could rope off and set up some tables where you could set up some hookahs and maybe have some free appetizers like hummus and the bread usually served with that and other stuff. Find someone on CL that is setup to make vinyl bumper stickers for cheap.
Have a drawing for a hookah and some small door prizes.
You'll meet a lot of cool people and make some customers at the same time. Whoever wins the hookah has to get his hookah stuff somewhere. Promote Promote Promote!!!
Have plenty of cute girls helping out during whatever kind of events you can pull off. You want it to be something peeps are calling their friends from on their cell phones and telling them to come.

Where are you going to be buying your stuff from, and how much do you expect to be paying? Do you have a tobacco license or a resale license?
