Scalliwag
That's really cool and quite an endeavor to take on. I love seeing peeps do more than just talk about their dreams as their lives seem to pass them by. I haven't logged onto my Myspace account in so long I cannot even remember my account info Do you have a storefront or? Anything you need help with? Maybe your distributor will "help" you out a bit with a grand opening party or maybe you're already ahead of me on that? Best of luck to you my friend!!! coplinb
Awesome work bro, good luck on your endeavor. You got a cool "landlord" to give you some "free" rental space, that way you dont feel so pressured to make a sale, there for putting your mind at ease a little bit. Too bad I dont live in Oregon! A hot belly dancer and a BYOB can get peeps coming in. Works for Scalli anyways Promotional costs can be written off and if done right can work well. Especially when word gets out about events like that. Run an ad in the local Craigslist to find a nice dancer as well as promote the event through CL. Cheap publicity. phatlucyhookah
Elijah I'm so stoked for you!!!!!!!!!!!My son and I have been kicking around a similar idea when we move to NM in a 6 months or so. Being recently unemployed, again, and living in a college town with a large middle eastern population and NOWHERE TO BUY SHISHA LOCALLY has got me thinking...Got a local tattoo parlor down the street to front me booth space for my henna biz in May - wonder what they'd think about a hookah expansion... on the way there now !!!!!!!!!“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Keep letting your light shine. Live the dream.

Find someone on CL that is setup to make vinyl bumper stickers for cheap. Have a drawing for a hookah and some small door prizes. You'll meet a lot of cool people and make some customers at the same time. Whoever wins the hookah has to get his hookah stuff somewhere. Promote Promote Promote!!! Have plenty of cute girls helping out during whatever kind of events you can pull off. You want it to be something peeps are calling their friends from on their cell phones and telling them to come. inino
Where are you going to be buying your stuff from, and how much do you expect to be paying? Do you have a tobacco license or a resale license? Also congrats on your start up, looks like your friends is really helping you out with the space and getting started. Maybe in the future I can buy stuff from you.
