Mini Phunnel

Recommended Posts

so Gramps posted that small phunnels are back up, i was actually getting an idea, what if I trim some off and make it into more of a mini size phunnel. but now reading this thread it makes me a bit nervous. I mean to ruin a perfectly good bowl. Im hoping eric decides to bring back mini phunnels pretty soon. i may end up doing this

Minis have only ever been available in the Group Buys or at the lounge. There no bringing them "back" since they were never out. Eric has also expressed that he wont make minis for retail sale. Best bet...call a retailer and ask for their smallest small or pony up and spend the big $$ when someone sells one.

^^^ yup. $50 I think is still the going rate on them. Haven't seen one for sell in a while though...

Unfortunately Mush said no more group buys here on HF, because of a little situation a few years ago involving a ton of Mini Mya Acrylics and a guy who collected the monies but neglected to send any of them out...

I agree with what Wade and Christian said. Just pay the money when one pops up is about all you can do. Watch the trades section like a hawk, cause once one if posted, they never last long. The older Smalls are definitely smaller. My '08 Red/Black is just a bit bigger than my Mini Phunnels, but the newer Smalls I've owned were just way too big... I know it sucks, but I don't see Eric reversing this trend (hopefully they don't get any bigger!).

Drat! I wonder why they are getting bigger though. I mean I know that Eric doesn't produce mini phunnels as one of his regular lines because they don't perform well according to his standards, but the older smalls must have been performing good enough because they were in production? May be not as well as the new, bigger smalls, but then, that is a slippery slope.

Yeah, Eric has said he makes them bigger because he feels they smoke better due to more accurate dimensions, but my old Small and both of my Minis smoke great. I wouldn't ever want a bigger bowl than either of my Minis, to be honest. Most I went on my Mini was 7 hours, and I know for a fact it could have gone even longer than that. The only reason I keep my Small around is because of its color scheme (black/red), and because it's one of the old tower style ones (it's extremely tall to the point my tall windcover won't fit it on my KM). It hardly ever gets used.

I wish Eric would bring the Minis retail, but then he would lose money on tobacco sales.

Crap...that picture brought back some bad memories.

Anyways.....unless you can get that diamond cutting shit, I wouldn't bother. It basically felt like I was trying to sand down a solid stone.....suuuuuucked.

i bought my mini in late fall/early winter for 50 bucks, but people will charge anything and most likely get it. the one i bought got pulled in in like a day, so they move fast
