Got a 3 bedroom apt. with them and my gf so rent split 4 ways from 1400 = 350 a month. bout 2 months in my one roommate hasn't paid me back a dime and im out 700 paying his half of the rent till he can pay me back. Goodbye student loan money. The second roomate gets engaged and moved out in the middle of the night without telling us anything, he did pay his share though, but agreed to stay for the 9 months we had the lease, im the only one on the lease though. Then 2 weeks after this i find out my remaining roomate has been spending all of his rent money on drugs so I tell him he has 2 days to leave if he doenst come up with 700 plus next months rent. He throws a fit that night talking on the phone saying how his best friend is throwing him out on his ass for no reason. So i go to sleep to get up for work at 4am and my gf tells me he moved out while i was asleep, i go through the house to see what he left, (dirty plates in kitchen, unwashed clothes in his room) and i discover my ballerina hookah that was all pretty and clean sitting on the coffee table is gone. the little bastard. so i call the cops and they call him, find out that hes on his way to new york and they have no jurisdiction to go after him, not to mention they wont for 80 dollars.Anyway this whole time im trying to go to school, hold down a job, and an internship both a total of 40 hours a week to pay the rent, 10 of which i dont get paid for. so thats my bitch fest, hopefully when my lease is up i will be able to move out of here and mabye in the next year buy a new hookah. Charley Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 roommates and hookahs do not mix I have have had two different hookahs stolen by roommates. on a side note I ran into one of them a few weeks later after I kicked him out because I found some NHT items and he thought I didn't know it was him even tho I found the guy he traded it to and he gave me positive proof (along with offering to sell the hookah back to me for twice what I originally payed for it) well anyway I played a prank on him sort of. me and my friend (a guy who had flashed his blade at him two separate times.) took him to wal mart. I started putting duct tape, tarps, rope, lighter fluid, ect...... in the cart and telling my friend to try to find a shovel cuss we were going to need one. (making sure my ex roommate heard all this) and occasionally muttering to myself "no one steals from me." when he would walk out of earshot me and my friend would start "whispering" to each other making sure he saw us then we would pretend to notice him looking and we would just stop and smile and wave at him. we kept this up untill he took off in a dead run right out of the store.we were laughing so hard that it was worth getting my Qt stolen. ( have yet to see him again.)also on a side side note the guy who tried to sell me my hookah back wound up with a broken hookah and a broken plasma screen tv with a broken hookah stem sticking out of it. My roomate hasn't ever stolen my hookahs but he is a dumbass and when im gone he will use them. Arpo has his own, and I have 2.
