Whats Your Hookah Fixation?

Everybody on this forum is somewhat obsessed with hookah in one way or another.

For some, its the nicotine rush of some nice OG Tangiers.
For others, its the great flavor of Starbuzz.

Some stick to only a select few flavours/brands... while others want to try everything!

But...

I think some people are more obsessed with the "collecting" aspect of hookahs than actually smoking the damn thing. Other people love collecting different flavours... but rarely smoke them.

I, for example, own a modest 3 generic pipes, nothing fancy. I don't really care about having a great looking pipe. All I care is that it smokes amazingly well. If a generic pipe can do that for me (1 of mine does, with a phunnel+scalli), then I'm a happy camper.

On the other hand, I love to try new flavours and brands of tobacco. Since last September, I've smoked about 80% of SB flavours, 50% of AF, and dabbled in all the other brands. My obsession is the quest for new amazing flavors. I've also done 2-way and 3-way mixes with most of the flavours I've tried.... so overall I've probably had at least 300 or 400 distinct flavours. I can't get enough.

So.... what's your obsession? What keeps you in the hookah community? What do you LOVE about hookah?

Flavor, hookah is one of the most peculiar ways to experience a flavor. Smoke is fun to play with. Nicotine is always good. I like having something to do while sitting around chatting. When people are just sitting around I generally end up bored if I'm not doing something at the same time. As far as the hookah itself goes I like having a moderate hookah, I cant reason spending massive amounts of money on one, but I want one that is aesthetically pleasing as well rather than just functional.

I honestly love the huge clouds and flavor. Buzz doesnt matter to me, somedays I like it, others I don't. Mixing flavors is my favorite thing to do, and I rarely smoke a single flavor unless its Nakhla Double Apple, which kinda is my hookah fixation. If I havent smoked in a long time, I'll want one of two thing: AF Mint and Nakhla Double Apple.

PIPES! I love buying new hookahs, love it, love it, love it.

1 hose, 3 hose, 4 hose, they're all great. Any height, it doesn't matter, I am open to buying one of every size. I am looking at another 30 inch, a 40 inch, and more to add to my collection in the next month.

I tend to not try lots of different flavors but I do buy at least one new flavor with every order.

Smoke. When it comes down to it, my fixation is pretty much all about acheiving the greatest amount of smoke.

I would be so happy if Tangiers had the same amount of Lucid Flavors as the OG

Trying everything is my fixation. I have Reviewed Every Romman Flavor, but I am stuck on Tangiers at the moment. So I am ordering the crap out of it. And I have a stack load of Prince to review. I just like trying all the stuff, which means my stash is always filled with half used containers!

The relaxation aspect of it ... I'd say flavor - buzz - smoke, in that order. I'm not one who tries all of the flavors, partly because of where I live but more importantly because at least 70% of the flavors I've tried aren't flavors I'm likely to go back to. So I'm trying to narrow it down to about a dozen of flavors that I circulate, and maybe add one or two new flavors with every order.

But as I said, my "fixation" is the relaxation aspect, and that's probably the only reason for me to smoke hookah.

For me it's the nicotine rush of Tangiers/Nakhla and the great flavor of Tangiers/Nakhla. Never found a SB-flavor I like, but then again Ive only tried a handful of them.

I get way into collecting different flavors and buying new pipes whenever i have extra cash, but the biggest attraction to hookah is the people that come along with it. I love the fact that smoking can bring all different types of people together through a common interest.

o and i also love freaking huge clouds.

the relaxation part exists but the buzz part doesn't anymore, unless i take a couple days off.

The social experience is nice, it's always a good way for me to entertain my guests and strikes up conversation.

When I'm flying solo though, I do it for the flavor, smoothness, volume of smoke, and a good bit of relaxation.

Aside from that however, I'm not a tobacco buzz seeker.
