ElijahSing
I think he means the heater? there is an alternative to using coals..Its a little tiny coil heater that rests on top of the bowl.. I actually just ordered one for smoking in the car!
*HOT&SMOKING*
there has been a few attempts...I think even Hookah-shisha had one on their site at a stage and then eventually made a picture of the thing turned around and called it a coal lighter, because it didn't work that well as a substitute for the coal...-H&S
delSol_si
Awhile back someone posted something like this. A little device you set on top of your bowl in place of charcoal. I think the reason nobody bought one was because the company required a minimum order of like a couple thousand or something and nobody needed that many. It looked like it would be able to simulate the temperature of a charcoal as well as the increase in temperature with increased airflow and all, thus making it the perfect replacement. The biggest problem I saw with it was its size. The thing was sized so that it would fit well on a traditional bowl, but not so much on a phunnel. JDHarding
I got a digital hookah myself. One end plugs into my USB port on the PC for the heat source, I stick a memory card in it with a certain shisha flavor profile saved in digital format, then I connect the other end to a USB hookah hose and suck on the tip. It tastes like the real thing!

mustang_steve
I think the problem would be such a device needs to be bowl specific.I don't see one made for an egyptian working well on a mod bowl.....
