FactorE
I saw on sahara smoke's website vortex bowls that are made from metal, so I am just wondering if its any good and if so how many coals will be good for it and so on since its metal.
AKammenzind
No idea, never heard them discussed before on the forums. You wouldn't really have to worry about dropping it and breaking it, but the metal might transfer heat a bit too well. Also they don't say what metal it is... I'd assume it's SS, but if not... ehhhh. Voski
Why don't we have the "This thread is worthless without pics" emoticon.

Let's face it, calling for pics probably accounts for several percent of all posts made here./threadjack Edited April 8, 2009 by AKammenzind
Giant Ninja Robot
ive seen ss bowls at my local shop. I have heard and would assume that the heat would be unstable and get too intense for a good session.

chinamon
my very first bowl was a metal bowl. my first hookah came with a clay bowl but i decided to pay a little more and "upgrade" to a metal bowl cuz i thought it looked better. needless to say, it was more of a downgrade because heat management was total crap. it burned the shisha too easily. Stuie
The only good reviews i have seen about the bowl comes from SS themselves and their loyal fanboys. I have the vortex, it's an okay bowl but it's not as good as a phunnel. Make it metal, you can make your Hookah Hookah Tobacco last less than 2 minutes I would think. erufiku
I remember people complained about the metal combo bowl/windcover, so I'd assume it's pretty much the same for all metal bowls.
Capt. Morgan
http://saharasmoke.com/store/catalog/Metal...wl-p-17236.htmlFound the line about it being almost impossible to burn the shisha with to be rather amusing. I'll stick to my phunnel.
coplinb
Not only do I think that it would burn the shisha to quick, what about taking the bowl off to reload it? Ouch, thats gonna be hot.

BigSexyPanda
Has anyone thought of just using a lot less heat with it? If it burns so easily, it must transfer and hold in heat very well. Just sounds like a way of saving money on coals.
