SloppyJoe
I just bought a hookah a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone put anything else in the bottom of the hookah besides water or ice cubes. I had a friend tell me if I put milk in it I would get heavier smoke. Any ideas appreciated. Oh and how submerged should the tub be in the water? Thanks. OneGreenMonstah
the water line should be about a half inch above the bottom of the downstem (the metal pipe that sticks into the vase) you can put milk, wine, cut up fruit (cut up oranges, apples, kiwis or whatever) , pretty much anything you want... just remember to use water and the other liquid not just the wine, juice etc....with milk be careful that its not filled to high otherwise it will bubble up into the stem.its mostly gonna be experimentation and what not but thats half the fun anyway...welcome to the forum too! r1v3th3ad
if you put milk in, please please please video record the session...we have yet to see a milk video
Giant Ninja Robot
the GENERAL rule that people have found is .5-1.5 inches of the downstem submerged is the minimum and usually works well. Too much and sometimes it becomes hard to pull.
Victim026
And if you use milk DON'T use more then a 1 oz. shot glass full. Otherwise you'll be replacing your hose from all the sour milk bubbles in it.

SuburbanSmoker
lol rivet was setting ya up. you can put anything you want in there, however the general rule of thumb is if it bubbles dilute it. i.e anything creamy or carbonated(milk/soda/beer etc
