I like bowling. Im lookin for a new ball though. The one i have is kinda light (fo me, i typically use like 12 pounder so still kinda light) But i havent decided between an ebonite or a brunswick. I already have a ball, its either a columbia or ebonite. The one i have already needs to be plugged and redrilled and like i said ealier its pretty light, so it would work for spares, but not so much first ball. What do you guys think?

Black widow! go for it!

I throw a 14 and luckily got a ball from my father some years ago weighing 14 pounds. I'm not so avid anymore, but I used to go twice a week on the regular.

I usually throw suitcase (straight) but being a lefty it gives me the chance to hit the right strike zone if i fuck up Edited by Dr. B

I have found that the gold pro ball has worked best over time.

But really, I have nothing valuable to contribute. sad.gif Bowling has always been one of those things I really enjoy but never have time to do.

Sweet, So can you remember who makes the Black Widow?

Scratch that just found out it was a Hammer.

I like the looks of the reaction of the Hammers, but i like the looks of the prices of Brunswick and Ebonite midranges better.

I dont think you'll need a super-expensive ball. Go with price>prestige, especially if you've never shopped before or aren't loyal to a brand.

I'm speaking out of my ass, as I'm not familiar with the makes and models of popular bowling balls; but I contend they behave very similarly and are only marginally inferior substitutes.

Personally, I throw storm balls... I have as shift and a tropical storm at the moment, but my next ball will be a virtual gravity.

I just like storm balls and how they react to how i roll

Go with an Ebonite, they're made in the USA, unlike Brunswick being made in Mexico. thats just one reason. I've always preferred Ebonite over Brunswick. For midrange, the Gamebreaker and Playmaker are both great balls.
