Flavor Review

Brand:  Al AmirFlavor: Lemon
Date: March 23 2006Session Time: 19:55 - 20:25
Location: Raleigh, NCLocal Weather: 44°F, very light winds, moderately humid.
Coal: Wood CharcoalNose: The smell of this shisha was very soothing even if artifical.  Similar to the effects of Cammomile herb.  It was not over powering or too subtle.  It was very mellow and tempting, it reminded me of a citrus/spice tea.  8/10
Flavor:  AA Lemon seems to let off a more recognizable and distinct flavor which is very close to a Lemonhead candy, without the sourness. It was an addicting flavor and often found myself exhaling it through my nose to enjoy its sweet aroma.  8/10
Smoke Density:  Great smoke factor!  Within a mere 2 - 3 minutes the base was full of smoke and so too were the lungs.  However, about 20 - 25 minutes into the burning, the smoke was harsh.  I found myself coughing with a little bit of violence after inhalation. 5/10
Overall:  70% satisfaction.  Not a flavor I would do consecutivley.  The coughing was a major turn-off here.  I would like to sit, relax, and enjoy the session not cough like I'm smoking straight from a joint.  I did have some coal issues too.  I eventually will evaluate the variety of coals to isolate the problems.  During this session, the shisha "embered" twice.  This may have contibuted to the coughing.  I did use a wind cover this time, and it seemed to have baked the tobacco too fast. Again, this would appear to be part of the coal issue and will require a further investigation. On the up side, it had a very attractive flavor and nose.  I would recommend Lemoncello (a sweet lemon liquor) to sip during the smoke to help pull out that desirable taste.

HookahEnthusiast: As it stands, I have Raspberry, Lemon (which i already reviewed), and Banana, Orange, and Rose.  Plus a Nakhla mint which ill prolly only smoke one bowl straight for a review and then blend it and give reviews on those blends... other than that, i hope i can get my dirty monkey paws on some others a lil while later ;)
Thanks for the positive feedback everyone!
