If none of the above apply to you then just put what answer best suites you.

personally i believe that most of the answers will be people taking college pursuing a degree.

I put still in college, however in less than a month I'll obtain my associates. I will be going back to school, but not for at least 6 months (Co-op policy, have to work 6 months before taking more classes), not sure if this has great relevance, but since it's the semi in between mark, figured I'd post it.

[Incorrect Buzzer]

You're assuming that everybody on the Forum is representative of everybody who smokes hookah. I would guess that the average educational level of people on the internet is higher than those that aren't. Since the Forum is on the internet.

In college, currently at the end of my sophomore year. I plan on going to PhD level in Clinical Psychology.

While it may be nice to think there is a link between education and hookah-smoking, I would argue that it has more to do with personality type than level of education. Worth thinking about. wink.gif

your guessing that online users have a higher education level then the offline counterparts.

yeah, i know thats a bad example and you could be right (though with myspace, facebook and twitter against you the odds are not in your favor). but something i have noticed when going to hookahbars is that most of the people there are of age high school students or college students in their younger 20's. I dont own a hookahbar, but i have gone to a few bars in several states.

Currently going for my Ph.D but still have a good chunk of years left.

Also, I hate to say it, but a college degree really doesn't say anything anymore. It has basically replaced a high school diploma as a pre-requisite for the majority of jobs out there.

the majority of people that smoke hookah dont have access to the interent, nor live in the united states. your poll does give a nice example of people that smoke hookah and use the forum though. the results arent surprising that most of us are college students though.

I'm both a high-school grad with college credits, and a college drop-out. Of course I'll be back in college pursuing a degree in the fall so... I guess I'll say high-school grad with college credits.

Same story. I don't consider myself a drop out. More like a break taker. tongue.gif

I had no interest in the programs I was involved with, so instead of wasting more money, I stopped going. Once I figure out something I will actually enjoy, i'll be going back.

I don't necessarily put a lot of stock in formal education. Intelligence is not measured by what you can endure.

Not 100% correct. Most of the time, when a job requires you to have a college degree, they are not wanting you to have the degree because they think you are "smarter" because you went to college, they simply want to know what kinda of work ethic and dedication you have. Going to college takes A LOT of dedication and hard work. Going to college proves to the employer that you have what it takes to put a lot of hard work and dedication into a project. When the job gets tough, you aren't just going to throw in the towel and call it quits, you will find a way to make it happen. 4+ years of college is a lot of work. I guess what I am trying to say is that when an employer is looking at whether you went to college or not, they most likely could care less what actual education you obtained from college, but rather the FACT that you were able to go through with it and complete it.

I am NOT saying that everyone who doesn't go to college is lazy. I know plenty of hard working individuals with a lot of dedication who haven't went to college. I also know TON of lazy asses that somehow managed to get through college. I am simply saying that when you have that college degree, you have already proved yourself to you employer rather than having to prove yourself. I am also NOT trying to degrade anyone who has not been to college. College is a personal choice and not everyone is meant for it.

I personally am 23 and still in college, had to take a "break" myself, should be graduated in about a year or so, will be a senior next semester.

Politely snipped.

Not that I disagree with your assessment (I actually agree with what you said), but how is it relevant to my personal observation that intelligence has little to do with your ability to endure a formal education?

Remember: Albert Einstein was a drop-out.

this poll can only show a link between education and this forum's hookah users, not all of them.
