Just got my order of Fumari

Finally Ive got my order of: Fumari - watermelon, sour apple, tropical punch, and white peach. Right now I got them sittin out in the open to get ready for a review tonight. Dont know which one to try first.........i think im gonna go with tropical punch or sour apple. Ill have pics posted up or if im in the mood maybe a video. The only thing missing is my Stargate, it hasnt got in yet so ill just be using my regular hookah junior.

wow congrats man..it sounds like many good smokes to come...you cant go wrong with fumari and a stargate (generally speaking)..ill be looking forward to those reviews...if i were you id go with the flavor you've never smoked before in any brand to start...thats just me though!

Sorry bout the long wait, I had company over that I feared smoking around cause of their Asthma. AAAAAAAllllrrriigghhhtttyy then here we go
[b]Fumari - White Peach[/b]
[b]Pre Smoke Session[/b][b]Cut/Texture[/b] - Id say that its between AF and Nakhla including wetness, im sure you've seen the pictures Cicada posted up Also it got fluffy after I let it out in the open for about 6 - 7 hours
[b]Smell 9/10[/b] - smells EXACTLY as a ripened peach would smell with a HINT of artificial peach smell (not suprised), but its not for sniffing
[b]Preparation[/b] - cold tap water, one 3 kings coal then later 2 coals doggystyle, sprinkled about 15g of m'assel. In the package I received, Fumari included a booklet that suggested putting a pencil sized hole down the middle of the packed bowl, so I tried doing it this time
[b]Smoking SessionTaste Test 4/10[/b] - Blakh, not much of a white peach taste as i would expect. It tasted NOTHING like it smelled. I have to admit I was let down smack to the ground. Every once in a while ill get that actual peach taste when I exhaled. Most of the time it either tasted like nothing or it was some kinda chemical taste maybe a very light soap taste.About 20 minutes into the session I began tasting a little bit of harshness. Being that it seemed this flavor was WWWAAAYYY off compared to a lot of other reviews, I held a couple factors accountable (see variable factors)
[b]Smoke Density 10/10[/b] - Although I was let down with the taste, I was very pleased with the density of the smoke. It was a very pillowy silk smooth smoke. Very nice thick white clouds. This was after i put 2 three kings coals piggyback. 10/10
[b]Buzz 6.5/10[/b] - It didnt give much of a buzz, but 10 - 15 min into it my tongue became little tingly then became numb lol. It was pretty much like AF minus the taste
[b]Variable Factors[/b] - I havent cleaned out the stem in ssssooo long (I was too lazy!) so it might have had all that AF grape & Nakhla Double Apple mix (btw GREAT MIX) still in it that probably offset the whole peach flavor. This is the first time Ive done the pencil sized hole down the middle technique. Also I might have piled a little too much that some m'assel might have burned more quickly.
[b]Overall rating[/b] - Id give it a generous 7/10 only because of the variables and it produced GREAT amounts of smoke, giving it the benefit of the doubt. Whenever my Stargate comes in, Ill definitely try this one again or maybe if I thoroughly clean my current one before it comes in. If the same results occur Ill be giving this one away.
Oh and I forgot to take pictures, again I was TOO LAZY, GIT OFF MAH BACK DAMNIT . Ill definitely have pictures up next time. Lemme know if this review was thorough and if theres anything Im missing. I think Ill be trying the Sour Apple next.............

yea it was on a FUmari booklet they sent with the package. It said to make a pencil sized hole in the middle of the packed m'assel, NOT to be confused with the foil. The foil, I made numerous (about 45) even width, evenly spaced holes as I always do. Sorry if it sounded like I made a huge hole in the foil, i meant the m'assel itself after I packed it in the bowl

Ahh, I see. I'm just dumb sometimes and it was 9am...never post when tired!
Seems like it'd be a decent idea, that would pack it closer to the sides of the hot bowl and would make it cook better. I can't imagine that'd be what was cause a bad smoke.

The reason I thought it would be one of the negative factors is cause I thought more HEAT rather than smoke/flavor would come through doing it this way

yea..white peach is startin to seem like it has a common tendency to taste soapy...might be one id hesitate to try before some other well liked flavors of fumari....

Humidity shock...peach flavors tend to get soapy under the wrong weather conditions.The dreaded "center-hole" theory. Hate it. If we made the pieces of the tobacco the right size and packed the bowl correctly, it would smoke fine without a center hole!

Yeah, well, what people forget is, IF the weather is changing and the tobacco is in humidity shock and the weather is getting relatively worse for the tobacco, it may take longer to acclimate.

Woah... this is craziness I tell you!  Maybe I got an especially good batch, or maybe the humidity is just right where I live (Minnesota, USA) but I'd swear on my life that Fumari's White Peach is hands down the best peach flavor I've ever had. I tried Romman, Sultan, and Nakhla and none of em even came close to the delicious flavor and quality of the Fumari. All the others tasted either soapy or really artificial and nutty tasting. Fumari's is really the only one that tasted really realistic and delicious with no hints of soap or nutty flavors to it.  I bought a 100 gram tub of the White Peach and I've smoked around 8 bowls of the stuff so far (got about 2 bowls left) and definately plan on ordering more when this runs out. So yeah.. pretty weird huh'? Maybe I just got a really good batch, or maybe the humidity is just right where live. In any case, this is gonna be a flavor I'm going to always keep on hand so if I ever encounter a batch that tastes soapy I'll let you guys know. Strange.. one man's trash, another man's treasure

you write under preperation "cold tap water".  Have I been smoking wrong for the last three and some years? And why not filtered or bottled water?
(You're not referring to the water in the water vase are you?) I know on some of the strong Iranian jurak the leaves must be washed. Did you pay top $$$ dollar for Fumari and then wash it ? / Thorughly confused until you answer.....sheshabum

Also Ill continue reviews very soon cause Im leaving all my Fumari m'assel out opened to adjust to this damn Michigan weather for a day or two. Oh, also,  I just got my Stargate in so ill be doin a review on the nargilah itself too.

[b]Smell 9/10[/b] - smelled like a STRONG artificial watermelon, when I left it out to acclimate it turned out to be a great air freshner

[b]Smoking SessionTaste Test 9.5/10[/b] - MMMMMMMM tasted VERY good. I think it nailed a Pop Rocks Watermelon flavor. It was candy watermelon sweet with a hint of sour zing! Although it didnt taste exactly like a REAL watermelon it was still very good [b]Smoke Density 10/10[/b] - Very nice thick white clouds after I put 2 coals on. Very good to learn (im still in the learning phase) blowing O's

[b]Variable Factors[/b] - I think maybe because I did UPS Ground shipping (5 days) that these m'assels are having more of a chemical taste than the real thing, because from all the reviews on watermelon, I expected a more natural taste than artificial. And would it hurt it if I left it out over 1-2 days?

O and I forgot about the review on the Stargate. Well what can I say besides it was a GREAT purchase for me. I never got as much smoke from Nakhla as I did with this nargilah. It is sealed all over from top to bottom. I added puttin teflon tape around the thread for the base in fear of the plastic and metal grinding. I gave in to buyin the 25" instead of the 20" that way I got 2 nargilahs in one (18" & 25"). Samir hooked me up with that wind cover and screen combo bowl, brush, case and bunch of rubber o's. If you're lookin to buy a new nargilah anytime soon I urge you to check out taqseem.com and contact Samir so he can hook you up with a deal (more like a steal )

I think I just got a bad batch with the White Peach cause I left it out for a 1 day and several hours and it still tastes like ass!! Ill have to order white peach again in my next order. Dunno what others Ill order, but White Peach and Watermelon are definitely on the list

[b]Smell 10/10[/b] - Fumari nailed this one to Hawaiian Punch. Although chemical smell (not surprised, as Hawaiian Punch is artificial, not exactly real fruit juice) it still smelled nice
[b]Preparation[/b] - cold tap water, one 3 kings coal then later 2 coals, screen, and a newly fashioned diffuser
[b]Smoking SessionTaste Test 10/10[/b] - Again Fumari nailed a Hawaiian Punch flavor. Wow my lips even feel sticky. Also got build up of phlegm in my throat like I was drinkin Hawaiian Punch. Flavor burst throughout the whole session (1hr 30 min) [b]Smoke Density 9/10[/b] - Pillowy thick white clouds after I put 2 coals on. I think I have finally got down doin the O's. The only problem was that I had to keep 2 full coals on the whole time and density started to die out after 1hr
[b]Buzz 6/10[/b] - Not much of a buzz in this one, but not a big issue cause the flavor kept me busy.
[b]Variable Factors[/b] - I dunno how much this diffuser effected my session, but nonetheless it was a factor and also I used a screen instead of foil. Ill have to try without the diffuser to really see the difference. I think Im goin to switch up to screen instead of foil as it prevents burning the m'assel, cause the foil just dips in the middle when I put a hot coal and touches the m'assel.
[b]Overall rating[/b] - Averaging up it turns out a 8.75/10, but if you not lookin for a buzz then I would rate it an 11/10 as it was VERY juicy, like Im smokin Hawaiian Punch fo real! Definitely reccommend!

Just tried the White Peach again and it was MUCH BETTER than my first time. After smoking it Id rate it up to a 9/10. When your tongue becomes numb is that the bite you guys are talkin about, cause my tongue became lil numb in the middle of my session (25 min)? I dunno if it has to do with the diffuser and/or leaving the m'assel out to acclimate for a day, that it tasted better and not "soapy".
