I grew up around spokane (medical lake/cheney/airway heights area) and have a buddy that goes there that seems to be enjoying it immensely. I however go to WSU..... I think Pullman is the greatest town for someone who wants to get the full college experience without being in the middle of no where (an hour an a half to spokane isn't too bad), but still being far enough away from everything you knew to have some fun wink.gif

You have a buddy at Whitworth? What's his/her name? I know the idea is foreign to you WSU types but depending on their year it is pretty likely I know them biggrin.gif.

I hope this isn't stupid, but if there are any other seniors in HS I'm sure its all they think about too, haha. Also it can be a place to ask questions or people who are going to the college someone wants to go to to share their experience and thoughts.

Great thread idea, not stupid at all.

Something to consider is all of the recent employment data reveals that college grads are having a VERY hard time finding their first job in their field of study. Seems that even a college degree in your field of choice doesn't beat on the job experience. That was my experience...I worked while going to college (many years ago!) and ended up leaving school because I made FAR more money working my way up on the job.

What my kiddo is doing is going to trade school to be an automotive tech. It's shorter and cheaper than college, and it's something she can study in short time and then get right in to the field and work her way up with on the job training.

This isn't to dissuade those of you going to college. I wish I could have afforded to keep going. But I go back off and on, even at my age. laugh.gif

TRADE SCHOOLS ANYONE? And I'm curious about those who went to trade school to be a mechanic...

Southeast Missouri State University, SEMO

Ok college, not the best, but it is cheap and has lots of women.

Accounting major here, about 30 hours or so from graduating. Anyone need any help let me know. Thinking about picking up a minor in Finance or Economics.

Just finishing up my BA Honours in International Conflict and Cooperation at the University of Saskatchewan... will be continuing on with graduate studies at the University for Peace in Costa Rica, in Media, Peace and Conflict Studies.

Dude...i love Costa Rica...never been there (not yet at least...) but for some reason i'm in love with it and can't wait till i get the chance to go (many many many years of saving later)
agh. that is really amazing. best of luck.

anyways, i'm about to be a sophomore at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. It's not an amazing school, but not a party school either. I love it, it's a perfect mix of city life and campus life, with beaches less than half an hour away. I'm about to live off-campus in a 5-br house with 4 friends a block off campus...can't wait till August!

A.A.S Computer Networking and Systems Administration with Cisco Emphasis from Texas State Technical College of Waco

I hopefully will be able to start at Midwestern State University to get my B.A.A.S. and more. Should be fun working full time and raising a family.

I got to UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) and I should be continuing on to law school soon. My city sucks and I want out, but the good thing is that it is easy to maintain a 4.0 GPA. CAKE!
