College

This can be a thread to talk about college- where you go, where you want to go, or where you are going to go. I hope this isn't stupid, but if there are any other seniors in HS I'm sure its all they think about too, haha. Also it can be a place to ask questions or people who are going to the college someone wants to go to to share their experience and thoughts.

Anyone go to Auburn? I just recently officially decided to go there next year after some serious thought. Should be really fun

At UCF (University of Central Florida) in Orlando. Currently a Sophomore in Psychology, I love it. I'm probably going to stay here or go to UF for my Masters but for my PhD, I plan on going out of state.

Great school, great community, great area. smile.gif Edited by ColibriDon

Someone else with law which is tight. I think thats what I'm going to do, but I don't want to make it official until I've had some college experiences to "open my eyes" to what I really want to do haha

im only taking law classes because they are required for my major and server no real point to it. all it does is show the erosion of personal rights and liberties and how stupid people are.

Everett Community College! Fuck yeah!

I'm not sure about my future plans. Finding something I am passionate about in school has been hard. I nearly have two complete AA's (one in business, another in computer science) but couldn't finish them due to lack of desire for the courses themselves. After spending time in both programs, I found out I didn't like either one of them.

I am planning on returning in the fall, with a possibility of beginning the coursework for a transfer degree in anthropology. As I already have all basic prereqs done, I just need to take the program specific courses.

Whitworth University (Spokane, WA). Highly recommend it if you fit the profile, to a degree. Not a good school for agnostics/atheists (it's presbyterian but that part isn't too hardcore, I am not a bible-thumping protestant and I made it through okay biggrin.gif).

I fully recommend everyone spend 2 years in community college before hand. I wish I had, parents wouldn't let me though. Fortunately I got a year in during running start (head start, whatever you want to call it). Pre-that experience I was looking at schools in Australia for animation. Two animation classes and my mind changed awfully quick.

Of course in the meantime I am thinking I should have gone into graphic design instead (and too boot I found out I was a wee bit Australian) so maybe it ended up not helping out at all lol!

University of California, Santa Barbara. Second year with Senior standing.

Love the school, people, and environment. Who else can say they have an ocean view that they wake up to everyday or walk out to the beach every morning in under 1 minute?

University of Tennessee in Knoxville for me. Freshman in Sociology now (switched from Computer Science just last week actually). I'm planning on doing the Environmental Issues and Globalization concentration. Possibly attend graduate school here, but that's in the far off future and I'm not worrying about that at the moment smile.gif

Yea but I bet you don't get to wake up halfway through April to this...

I'll take this over the beach any day.

This thread has made me want to enroll again. Here's to being a perpetual student!

I've attended NYU, graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Ave Maria School of Law - so...if anyone has any Qs about those schools, feel free to ask (though, they're pretty obscure).

Tati - Do you enjoy Ann Arbor? I definitely miss it. I will visit sometime soon.

Went to the University of Arizona for a year doing the pre-pharmacy program, then transferred up to Northern Arizona University and I'm graduating in 3 weeks with a double major in Finance and Management. I'll probably work for the next 2 years then back to school for my MBA, not quite sure where though... I'd really like Univ. of Chicago or Berkeley

I grew up around spokane (medical lake/cheney/airway heights area) and have a buddy that goes there that seems to be enjoying it immensely. I however go to WSU..... I think Pullman is the greatest town for someone who wants to get the full college experience without being in the middle of no where (an hour an a half to spokane isn't too bad), but still being far enough away from everything you knew to have some fun wink.gif
