They seem good but I'd still be hesitant about using grill charcoals. Also 800f burning temp is MUCH hotter than any hookah coal burns.

there are quite a few people on the other side of the pond who use tom cocochas or cocobrico which are coconut coals made for grilling. And in lebanon, the price for coconaras is much different than it is here, and large 10 kilo bags are sold to restaurants for grilling as well as for use on arguilehs...just so you know

As long as their safe it makes no difference to me. If what you're saying is true I would love to be able to get my hands on large quantities of coco coals for cheap. happy.gif

Important!!! Cuz the shipping sucks..... BUT

I went to their website and punched in my zipcode to see if there's a local outlet. Nope.... BUT

They're sold on Amazon.com and at Amazon, with $25.00 or more you get free shipping and I checked and yep these qualify! So order something else for at least a penny and shipping is free.

the box said they burn at 800 degrees but they only get slightly hotter than an average coal breaking them is easy just a sharp rap with a blunt instrument (i use the hilt of my closed pocket knife.)

and if your using a whole coal on a phunnel with a homemade wind cover like i said you put the coal on the outer edge of the bowl like normal. then move it around when you need to they are larger so they take up more area so you really do only need one and you get big but not harsh clouds. (see the pics i posted in the first post. the cloud was thick enough to block out the light behind me.)

i just got my box and they suck more shit than anyone could possibly imagine. they shatter worse than exoticas, they smell worse than johns and with 3 pieces i get almost no smoked and a funky taste. i wasted 12$ and got my homes up. now my apartment stinks and had black dust allover the fucking place.

Bob Saget. i was all psyched up about those bastards coming in today and trying them out...i guess i'll still be trying them but with drastically lower expectations...at least i can grill with them...

Coals should be lit in a well ventilated area. I've seen the box before and there is a carbon monoxide warning. The light headedness could be coming from lack of oxygen. I advise that you do not light coals indoors... especially when they smell horrible. You should try to light the coals outside, and to not use them until they are fully lit. If you don't have an electric outlet outside, then buy an extension cord and a portable single coil burner.

All coals should really, as they're all putting out quite a bit of CO... only really dangerous though in cases like barbecuing where you've got a lot of coals going at once, in which case you DEFINITELY don't want to have em indoors. Common sense, but I guess they gotta cover their asses.
