baumann
So I got my tangiers horchata in the mail from hookahcompany at about 1:00 today and began acclimating it in the room I was going to smoke it in. I live in Eugene, Oregon (western oregon) if that makes a difference...here's the rest of the day:1. Acclimated shish from 1:00 to 9:00 pm on tin foil...stirred around occasionally with a fork2. Just a few moments ago, loaded horchata in tangiers small phunnel with 4 cocos and 3 concentric large holes and 1 hole in middle.3. Heat managed like the little bitch I am. Horchata got harsh and flavor was weak. Smoke was amazing (thank you mr. phunnel bowl)Question: should I keep acclimating it? did I do anything wrong? Victim026
Wait so you only poked 4 holes total? Your gonna need WAY more then that and 4 coco's on a small phunnel is way way way way way too much heat for tangiers. I would try acclimating for another day or so and take some time to read over the Tangier's Wiki we have here on the site that should answer most of your questions. baumann
haha no dude sorry, 4 concentric rows of holes...so that makes like 20 holes or something? idk, but definitely enough. I'll acclimate it for a while longer.
Zinite
4 cocos? wtf? Try 2 cocos.
baumann
someone told me to heat the crap outta it in the beginning then manage by taking a few off after about 3 minutes..is this incorrect? can I still make this bowl taste good by taking a top layer of shisha off? or should I just wait till it's acclimated for a while? (still smoking it btw)
Victim026
Save yourself from wasting shisha and just let it properly acclimate, and no you dont need to heat the crap outta it at the beginning, 2 coco's will put off more then enough heat for a small phunnel bowl and if by chance it needs a little bit more then use a windcover if anything. Like I said before, check out the tangier's wiki it will answer most if not all your questions.
Sonthert
I use 1 1/2 coconaras/exoticas on a large phunnel...I think 4 might be...too much.
