Sorry. My roommate has one and it is OK but the hose ports are really shoddily made and it really doesn't pull very well. My QT pulls twice as good as his H-S egyptian and it didn't cost nearly as much. You can get a lot more for your money elsewhere if his pipe is typical of their quality. AKammenzind
If you want a good, affordable egyptian (particularly multi-hosers) I'd say to check out socialsmoke, they've got a nice selection. From what I've heard the newer H-S egyptians are meh, which is a shame because my buddy has one from a couple years back and it's still a great pipe. Stuie
They are decent now. They use to be much better quality. My 3 hose pharaoh i got several years ago is up there with my MZ and KM. I don't like the new hose ports.
mjdx88
I had picked one up last year, a 2 hose pharoh . I agree that the hose ports are shotty. Not worth the money. But my gf got a nile over break when they had a great deal going. The hose port seemed to be in better condition but worht the money for it. So it seems to be they are hit or miss. Its been a year and im looking to replace mine already...moving up to a KM. If your looking at one at HS go to Hookah Company or HookahJohn and just pic up a KM for about the same price. Even MNH has some good deals on KMS. just me 2 cents
Hippo_Master
Probably the worst hookahs on the market. Just take 70 bucks and light it on fire, it's the same thing.

Someone on here said that they had been made by KM.I have an old hookahbros rotator. I'm not a huge fan of the rotators, but I abused the heck out of the thing, and it's in great shape. Worlds better than the other rotators I've seen on the market. Draws amazingly well, and the construction/quality seems great. The stem is a touch light (compared to my myas especially), but it's held up for the 10+years I've owned it.
mustang_steve
I say get a brass Glyph...that's what I use, and the only time it smokes poorly, it's my fault.Oh, and teflon plumber's tape will fix a loose screw on hose port...that's what I did when my glyph developed a leak (my fault for torquing the piss out of the port, to where I had to grind flats into the bottom of the hose adaptor to get it off for cleaning..twist right to put hose on, left to remove..this solves that issue). Hippo_Master
Hookah Brothers hookahs were MZ quality. H-S egyptians are the worst things in the world. Like i said in other H-S egyptian threads. Take mine for free, please.
antouwan
i read that at one point they were just like any other solid hand made egypt-chin, no common chamber, decent welds, and somewhat heavy. apparently now they've completely skipped on quality and went straight for profit, common chamber, screw on ports, somewhat 'chinese style' if you will. it's a shame, especially all of the poor souls that they're completely bamboozling into thinking that their 'egyptians' reflect any sort of a decent one like KM or MZ...but that's the truth of the matter, i doubt/know that the majority of smokers have the sort of knowledge as most of the people on this forum have, thus the new shotty pipes still sell, probably very well, and Sami Romman sleeps well at night, with his fake egyptian pipes and over-priced jordanian tobacco in fancy tins...edit: not to thread jack by any means, but does anyone remember when Romman tobacco was about the same price as AF and most of the other tobaccos...apparently if you put your product in a metal can with a fancy sticker you can market it as 'super-premium' and completely jack up the price...don't get me wrong, the stuff is good, and i think they make a hell of a fruit cocktail, but by no means is anything worth the price that the Romman gang is asking for it Edited April 16, 2009 by antouwan

Hippo_Master
Even if HB's made them in the past, they definitely do not now. I have named all of the problems with the rigs and all of them are form experience and I can even take pictures of. These are by far the worst hookahs on the market, Chinese pumpkin hookahs are better quality than those pieces of crap. They fail in every single regard. Sonthert
Its Mitsuba, the company you are talking about, the ones that made HB's hookahs. I'm not a fan,No...I don't remember when Romman was anything other than a premium brand.

Who knows though I guess.I thought that hookah brothers and MZ had some kind of thing together, as hookah brother's hookahs were sold on Southsmoke for a while before they stopped making them. I have a 2 hosed egyptian from Hookah-shisha that's roughly 3 years old, and it's just an unlabeled MZ. Same hose ports (with the nubs on the end), and the snap on tray. The tray is even the same size as a branded MZ I have. H-S Egyptians are NOT MZ's in any way, and the Syrians are very low quality compared to the AF rigs. All this i say is from experience with these rigs. C'mon now, a screw on hose port on an Egyptian hookah??? Jesus. On mine, it's even crooked. Sonthert
I've seen those screw on hose port jobs. Good idea. Not well executed. I think it was Mitsuba, it might be MZ that made shanks for HB. I was just saying the Mitsubas I've seen are uninspiring.
