Places in Queensway wanted £18 for 250g of AF, £10 for 250g of Nakhla.

That's $26.63 and $14.79... Which is fairly shocking.

On Edgware Road, Al Mustafa are reasonably bad for hookahs, but she looked at me with a straight face and said she wanted £30 for AF.

I actually coughed/laughed/snorted when she told me, then a few minutes later she said ok £25. Nah, you're alright love, I'll leave it!

About four doors down the street it was £15, I could deal with that. It's actually the best I've seen it in the UK, online or not.

Much cheaper to buy from the US, but it needs to be a bigish order to be worth it, so sometimes I'll just bend over and take it for convenience

duty paid (the legal way):
$14-15 for nakhla 50g
afraid to find out with the price would be for 250g

I really like my local hookah shop (its actually a convenience store that sells a lot of hookah stuff), its actually in the bottom of the apartment I live in. He carries nakhla, with a pretty good rotation of flavors and charges between 6 and 8 bucks for a 250g box. He's got 3 kings, some pretty nice but rather large bowls, carries AF but doesn't really like it (and personally, I feel the same) so the flavors are limited with that. His hookah's range between shitty and decent, with a good one or two coming through every now and again. Her recently started selling Java shisha, of which I've only had one flavor, but I really like. He's also really open to suggestions and such, I gave him a sample of some Fumari Shisha, and he's thinking about carrying some. There's a local headshop that sells romman by the 50g boxes (though they're hoping to sell the jars soon), and a another convenience store that sells coals and a ton of AF flavors for about $11 a tub. The last two are ok, but i really like the one in my building.

You can usally tell if its gonna be an NHT shop before you go in, thats what you should expect at those shops. high prices usually, and limited selection. theres a local smoke shop 5 minutes from my house but i drive 30 minutes instead to the middle eastern shops where its all cheap and they have everything, except tangiers and phunnel bowls.

The NHT shop by me has a better selection and better prices than the cigar shops and the arab bakeries. Those NHt shops don't fuck around, I love them

Under the counter prices are about the same, except less and less stores are willing to sell.

i live in toronto, canada. need i say more?

Try living in Winnipeg. I think I found a total of 9 hookahs for sale here, after looking at almost every shop. I think every shop had shisha, though. At the time I wasn't looking.

There are several places around me (including some NHT) that I can buy Mya hookahs. I can get 3K coals locally too.

Decent tobacco? You've got to be joking. Those of you who are talking about finding Tangiers locally, I would poop my pants if that ever happened to me.

our (ontario) tobacco and alcohol duties are absolutely absurd.
the alcohol duties in QC are quite a bit lower than ON.

im also lucky to have a mediteranian market about 10-15 minute drive from me. they carry everything except phunnels and obviously tangiers. 250g of NAK is around 6-8. haven't been there since the tax increase but it really can't be that bad.
