Upcoming Order

Thanks to Xipander I have an opportunity to branch out and take a risk on some new shishas! Currently looking at an order from Hookah Company, I won't place order until Monday since it won't be shipped until then anyway, and I want to see what item H-S puts on sale for Monday but here is my tentative order. I feel pretty good about everything but the Tangiers, haven't done much searching about Tangiers flavors but picked Raspberry because I really want to try a raspberry flavor.

- Al Ajamy Melon (50)
- Al Fakher Vanilla (50)
- Al Fakher Strawberry (50)
- Nakhla Banana (50)
- Fusion Orange (50)
- Al Amir Cherry (50)
- Tangiers "New" Raspberry (250)

Also picking up a box of CH Coconut Coals to replace the lemonwoods I got. Throw in a hose plug and the 15% forum discount and I am at $51.25 shipped. I wanted to try a whole range of new brands, and I tried to pick some of the more well reviewed flavors of each brand, whether they were reviewed well here or by Hookah Company. But I also had some key flavors I wanted to try (Raspberry, vanilla, orange, cherry, banana) so basically I tried to find which Orange had the best reviews and settled on Fusion, which Vanilla was the best recommended so settled on AF, etc.

if you want a good orange, Nakhla Mandarin is supposed to be good...and for Vanilla, I'd go Tangiers. But, then again...I'd go Tangiers for everything.

If you want the best orange flavor, nothing beats SB orange, or even SB Tangerine Dream. Tangiers Orange Soda is a close 3rd.

i'm not a huge fan of al ajamy or al amir...IMO

personally I would pass on the af strawberry. I just picked one up today and it smelled like strawberry, but tasted like butter popcorn.

AF Strawberry is pretty gross. Can't even describe what it smells/taste like except some sort of chemical taste.

AF vanilla is amazing but pretty light on the flavor so if you mix it go heavy on the vanilla

Thanks guys, I know some of the stuff I chose isn't super popular or well known, but I figured that was half the fun. I mean I've smoked almost entirely Al Waha which 50% of the people say is garbage, the other 50% say it is great *shrug*. For some of the lesser known brands in particular I tried to pick flavors of theirs that had good reviews.

I would love to give Starbuzz a try but it is quite frankly ridiculously expensive. Can't if it is overpriced, but don't want to spend that kind of money on an unknown, will definitely give it a try sometime, maybe next order (whenever that is HAH) will be somewhere that has the 100g's of SB.

people may be comparing brands to other brands...for instance, Tangiers is great...AF is great too. But, AF compared to Tangiers > AF = garbage.

I know HJ just started stocking 100g of SB, and they're fairly cheap then add on the HF discount and you're set.

Nak strawberry is good i think, but not alone i prefer to mix it with something like nak mint. I picked up recently some AF orange and that was really really good. Then again I have both batches of AF ordered from the states and some I got directly from the middle east and you can taste the difference. The batch I got from the middle east was made this month and it was crazy good.

I do prefer it as a mixer, if you mix 20% nak strawberry with 80% nak mango, it is godly. Or mix a little strawberry with margarita ... mmmhmmm!

Okay order has been altered (gotta write it down or I'll forget) ordering first thing tomorrow unless H-S puts something incredible on sale! I opted to start my tangiers experience with the Lucid line for simplicity sake, but then was convinced to go Bramble Berry, so needed a raspberry and so switched out the Fusion, which meant I needed an Orange so I switched out the Al AJamy Melon and just opted for no Melon.

OK finally made the order, everything as above except I took out the Tangiers. I think this will be plenty of Shisha for a while (plus the stuff Xipander helped me out with) and with the car accident and pending $1,000 deductible* I don't have much money for this anyway so figured I would save the $17 by removing the Tangiers. Besides, pretty much regardless of where I order next time I will be able to get Tangiers, which is not true of some of these brands I ordered.

* Cross your fingers that AllState claims liability tomorrow, I really don't expect them too since their policy holder is claiming it was my fault but the fact that they haven't claimed yet makes me hopeful (whereas StateFarm [my insurance] never considered claiming I was at fault). P.S. to those who followed me little nicotine poisoning thing... I smoked tonight without a problem (albeit a lax smoke) so I am very confident the pot of coffee was what caused my problems and therefore my future with hookah looks bright (even if at the expense of my future with coffee, but well worth it ).

I've had a big problem with caffeine and shisha. I used to order Arabic/Turkish coffee when I ordered shisha, and I always felt unwell... had to get water and fresh air. When I removed the caffeiene I was fine. (I can still drink pop, just not coffee/tea)

Yea I'm hoping that was it. For those who didn't follow it I also donate blood plasma and though Saturday was several days since my last donation (Thursday) I had donated twice that week so I am thinking it might not even be the coffee and the shisha, but the fact that you got tons of nicotine and tons of caffeine and LESS blood. I need to start supplementing donation back in though so I will just stay away from the coffee lol.

I'm sure it is great, but at least now I got something to look forward to still . I have jumped to natural coals, now a funnel bowl, there is only so much new or better stuff to try , so now I still got Tangiers to look forward to.

BTW AllState claimed liability so maybe should have gone ahead and got that Tangiers lol (AKA I don't have to pay the $1,000 deductible since AllState finally admitted I was not at fault!)

I got my order today but things are not right... instead of Nak banana they gave me Fusion banana, and then they gave me 250g of Vanilla. I'm not sure if they did this on purpose (like maybe they were out of Nak banana) but there is no mention of it anywhere, but on the flip side the packing slip is very clear so seems unlikely they screwed it up on accident... hmmmm

I know this probably works out to my favor since I get more shisha than I ordered but puzzling nonetheless.
