Because he was asked to remove the name Chronic Hookah from his user id. I flat banned the guy with the name "Chronic". I want to be as fair as I can possilby be to everyone Vendors and members alike. They are what makes HD the great place it is. On the other hand come on gave him 24 hours. But waited over 3 days for a change all he had to do was change his user id to his new site name. Yea the same user id he uses out of respect for the other 3 forums he hangs out on. I see what he did as just a way to show defiance. Sad if you ask me. But then again I am not in his head. maybe he was just being lazy." all said by neal

John, take a deep breath and quit wasting energy on this. You know how busy you are with sales, etc. running your business. Would you have time to take on the ownership and handling of a forum? Of course not and the only reason anyone would is if sales and their business were so bad blatent self-promotion is the only means of survival. We've stopped buying from Neal, and he will sink in his own time. He wouldn't have bought HD if his business was busy. Don't worry about it and don't give anything he says any value.

Umm....so he's cleaning up HD to remove possible NHT references??? Isn't this the SAME Neal who basically had to remove one of his domains from links here because IT was a NHT reference (and half the supposed "hookah items" were suspect as well) ?????

Greed in the trade section? Let me assure you, greed is not limited to hookah users. For every greedy person trying to rip you off on this forum, there are 10 people who would send you a free hookah if you broke yours. I'm not going to hunt it down for you, but a few months ago someone posted that his hookah was stolen from his car, and 15 people offered to send him theirs. Ended up it was just a misunderstanding, but nonetheless, my point stands.

People are upset at Neal and HD because they are out of money. A lot of people put up money for Mini Phunnels, and I have not heard anything about Jake shipping them out. He has, on multiple occasions, collected hookahs and shisha from vendors by saying he was going to raffle them off, and then kept him for himself. If you want to point fingers and call people greedy, start over there. Every single person who I have seen on this forum (the ones that stay longer than a few weeks at least) is a kind, caring individual.

And the final counterpoint to your greed comment: Can you even name the hookah company that opperates this forum? I wasn't aware of it until recently. If this forum was truly a bastion of greed like you would suggest, you would see "BROUGHT TO YOU BY HOOKAHKINGS.COM" written in every banner.

No I don't want to suggest this place is even close to the rest of what I've seen. Like I said, I chose this site in particular because it had the least of it. I like this place above all others for that reason, and don't even go elsewhere.

But it seems the outside world is creeping in. Not through the admin or management, but through the chatroom and the trades section, etc. Though I was expressing a general frustration with the bigger picture, not ripping on this place, I've still seen people trying to sell partial 250g jars of tobacco they bought and didn't like - something I personally would toss away or give away to a friend beore trying to sell online. In 2 weeks here I've seen auctioneers trying to sell tidbit accessories, playing it for the highest bidder, and group buys with nothing but money problems and threats. I've seen people trying to sell used hookas for as much as the brand new ones. All manner of shady paypal deals go on in threads. People have accosted me in the shoutbox trying to sell me crap.

I shouldn't have mixed my two points. My frustration with the chaotic commercial side of this 'hobby' isn't directly relevant to this particular guy everybody's talking about, but it does illustrate what bothers me. My fault for not makng a separate 'what about hookah turns people into business schemers" thread.

Your option is to not visit the trades section. Sure, people are selling off partials they dont want or even trying to "trade" (god forbid) for flavors just for fun. I've traded a half dozen times with Stuie and a few others here and I will say that (in general) you're not likely to find too much scamming going on.

"Accosted" seems a bit harsh, but without seeing the chat - it'd be hard for me to say otherwise, but I will say I doubt you were really hit up that hard. People sometimes post that they're getting rid of something in chat or offer to sell you something they have and don't really like - but unless they start pushing the point out of control - accosted sounds like a bit much.


As for Mush - he "runs" the place, but Adrock "owns" the place. Mush does this because he loves us, and is not getting anything out of it but a pain in the ASS. And we love him for it!

As a former customer of Neal's, and a current customer of yours, let me speak from some experience about this matter. Against my better judgment, and not to mention against the advice of this forum, I ordered one Small Tangiers phunnel from Neal approximately eight months ago. I was sent a Medium, which was a minor inconvenience. I contact him, and he tells me that it's Holly's fault, not his (it could never be his). I verified that he even had true smalls, and he said yes. Two weeks later, I receive another medium from him. I dropped the issue, not wanting to press him - as his emails had become bellgerent. This as the first and last order from him.

With my first order from you, not only did I receive the best customer service of any prior online order, but by doing this, you make me want to order from you in the future.

Let Neal waste his money on a website. I hope he paid up the ass for it.

I've had some bad dealings with Neal in the past so there is doubt that HD is done....I myself am no longer a member there.

Lol, I signed up as an undecided sexual orientation with a swinger relationship. Whats even more funny is those fields are actually REQUIRED, as well as uploading an avatar from your computer. Plus is seems like everything being said by Neal on that site is kinda an ass of a comment. Before I got banned, I read his post about mini phunnels from Eric, he calls all of his members "bitchers" for wanting their phunnels they paid for. What an ass.
