Why Does Tangiers Have Bad Spots?

Recommended Posts

honestly it might be because of the way he makes it. He makes his tobacco differently than anyone else does, which might be the reasoning behind the "rough spots".

If the tobacco is slightly out of acclimated, it will have slight rough spots, especially at the beginning of the bowl. Sometimes, at the transitions between flavors, hour or two or three in.

Thanks Eric!

So if we have rough spots and its properly acclimated its either packing or coal yeah?

Sometimes it might be just slightly out of acclimation and get rough spots. It might be an acclimation issue, but if its minor...don't worry about it. See if it gets better on its own, before you start screwing around with your setup.

as soon as you feel it getting slightly harsh, take a coal off and puff one coal short for a few minutes, then add the coal back but in a slightly different spot on the bowl, works for me usually.
